I ordered the Lampster on Kickstarter 5 years ago for my son who is a computer engineer who would appreciate the Lampster. I had ordered other items on Kickstarter and some items came quickly & others I had to wait a good amount of time to get. I think that the guys who designed the ingenious Lampstarter had no idea of the overwhelming response they received for the Lampster & then had to figure out how to source the parts for the enormous amount of orders. I was frustrated & wrote like many others asking where was my Lampster. I went to the Lampster website & wrote to customer service & lo & behold I received a response. I received an apology for for not getting the Lampster and a followup as to where to send it & then I got a call from my son saying you will never believe what I just received. He is 39 and was so excited to see the Lampster he even sent me a text with the photo all set up near his computer. It was definitely worth the wait. I am sure that the Lampsters ordered on Kickstarter are going out simultaneously with the ones on the Lampster website & the price on Kickstarter as is the custom on Kickstarter was cheaper than the Lampster on the Lampster website because that is a thank you for supporting the startup. Have patience & you will be so happy when you do receive it. It is worth any amount of waiting time!!!

Scam!!! Beware!!! I ordered this in 2015 and have not received it. They won't send me the lamp unless I send them more money.

It's an amazing lamp! My husband and I are super happy with the purchase, it's really worth spending the money. It looks great in our house and our friends and family loved it!! The app has a really cool retro look but they would have to update it to make it not fail often. Thanks for this great product!!!

I backed this unique and cool concept on Kickstarter a while back. With all good things, patience is required. I understand and agree with all the points made by negative reviews, however I’ve learned that Kickstarter isn’t online shopping. Used the customer support and received amazing help. Everything was resolved. The Lampster works great and is easy to use with the mobile app. Very clear, crisp, and bright light. Allows for the whole spectrum of light options and even a music sync. One of a kind product without competition in the market.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am original Kickstarter backer. Communication stopped over a year ago. I emailed them to find out what was going on, and was told the yellow I had ordered has issues, and they weren’t sure they could deliver it. So I asked for green instead. They then told me I’d have to pay an extra $40 to have it sent. I asked for a refund, and radio silence. I’ve been waiting 5 years (project was funded in 2015). And they are taking and filling orders for new customers when they haven’t yet delivered on their pledge. Stay away.

I wrote a review for this company about 2 months ago but it was removed. Come on Lampster, face up to your failures. I paid them money for a lamp over 5 years ago in a Kickstarter campaign and still haven't received it. The lack of communication and transparency during the campaign has been the worst I have ever seen on Kickstarter. The company created a shell company in San Francisco so customers wouldn't know that they were actually located in Romania. Companies in Romania are banned from Kickstarter. The company received over $1.3 million from Kickstarter and almost $1.5 million from Indiegogo. You'd think they could send out a few $200 lamps. From the comments on Kickstarter, it appears that some people have received their lamps although the reviews aren't great. Many are broken or damaged. They are definitely less than what was described. Most backers have not received anything. Despite that, the lampster people are selling lamps online while ignoring the Kickstarter backers. And, they will not honor refunds. This company is a total disaster. I've had it with Lampster and I'm done with Kickstarter.
