Hello Jeremy; Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that 3 of your cichlids had ich. Ich is a rather insidious protozoan and is widely prevalent. It can go undetected until a fish undergoes stress. There are many causes of stress in a fish's life including water temperature, water quality, tank inhabitants, improper diet, and a variety of other factors all contribute to stress, but one of the most severe causes of stress occurs during shipping of fish. Even though we do a thorough visual examination of our fish upon arrival in our facility, treat their tanks, perform a quarantine and do a final inspection before shipping, ich has shown up on occasion once a customer receives their fish. We advise to treat them with Ich Be Gone which should clear up the problem. We're glad you liked the appearance of the cichlids and hope, with treatment, the ich will quickly clear up in the 3 that were affected.
