Well as many on here with the Hartford for 8 years , no claims, no more tickets or accidents,and no DUI. My homeowners ins. went up over $700.00 in 13 months with no claims, so I checked others out and switched, and my Auto ins went up the next month over $600 dollars with no accidents , tickets or moving violations, upon calling which is a joke to get the phone number, first you have to speak to the robot and ask for a person then ask the person for the phone number because it is listed nowheres on the web site telling me they do not want to speak with you, so upon getting a person on the phone I was told you unbundled with us, I asked how much was that and was told $170 for unbundle and there was a ratew increase across the State of Delaware. insrance went up 38%..I aske for what , just a rate increase I was told , agent really did not care, even when told a senior on fixed income, Checked with other Car Ins co. and found for 40% less. This company surely does not want seniors, AARP should Flag them as uncaring and deviant insurers

They make it impossible to ever receive your claim. My husband suffered a heart attack almost six months ago and still have not received one cent from his disability insurance. They claim that more paperwork needs to be submitted but when you call them they say all paperwork is fine. You can’t get anything confirmed in writing because they don’t allow you to contact via email. Tactics that are obviously designed to make you give up the fight. If my husband dies from another heart attack I will be holding this company responsible because of all the stress they are causing.

First, could not find anywhere to write a review on Hartford website even tho they list reviews there. Secondly, the TrueLane app is a joke. I keep getting dinged for excessive acceleration which absolutely cannot be cuz my car goes from 0-60 in an hour and a half. Hard cornering, hard braking...all stuff I don't even come close to doing. Once in a while I'll hard brake for a yellow light but come on. Thirdly, my premium has nearly doubled in a year and a half. That's with the supposed AARP discount and an 18% discount for good driving thru the app that keeps dinging me for stuff I don't do. And fourth, there is no break down on their bill of what you are paying so I'm not sure I even got the discounts I was supposed to get. I will renew with a different company in April that is $100 less. But honestly, I expect my premium will do nothing but go up with them, too and their app probably has the same software.

The Hartford tripped over their own automatic billing system, cancelled our auto insurance giving us no written or emailed notice. Next, they refunded over $400 in premium money. This was after having auto and home policies with them for ten years. They also made sure that we could not get auto insurance with them again for one year. We had no tickets, no accidents, paid on time but we did get one windshield ding filled in that ten years. Their compliant form doesn't work. You can't reach their corporate office. AARP needs to drop them. The Stag that's their symbol probably has more brains than the company.

Hartford is the worst company of all time. I always had insurance in my 2 cars. I decided to change because of the better rate that they offered me. After a month, it went up. I pay in front for 6 months of full coverage. I got a letter from Hartford saying my insurance was canceled. I called and they told me the finances were closed on Monday and I needed to be called on Tuesday I called on Tuesday and the automatic machine told me that I don't need to make a payment. I went online and my policy was canceled for $31.00 so they sent me a letter (Customer Service told me that they sent a letter on January 17). I didn't receive it. I pick up my mail every 2 weeks because I travel. I called before and they told me not to worry about it. Never again only because I already paid in full I need to hear them and stick until March 09, 2024—no more. I got enough. Lose more than an hour for every time that I call for this week.

My father insured his business though The Hartford. I am not sure how the customer service was, as he went through a broker. And I do not know how the claims process was, because I was not involved. What I do know, is that when he passed away, it was on me to close down his business. So, before the end of the calendar year, with premiums paid in full, I contacted both The Hartford, and the insurance broker. I informed them of his passing, the closure of the business, and requested the end of the coverage. I even provided them with a copy of the death certificate. So, how did I keep getting billed for premiums? I repeated contacted The Hartford and the brokers, and the brokers assured me that The Hartford was aware, and that I should ignore the bills. They will work it out ... So, why am I getting mail from a collection agency? I am a business owner. I have a lot of insurance. Is any of it with The Hartford? Of course not. Does this story make you question their competence? It dopes for me.

Enrolled with the Hartford to insure my 2003 Dakota started out $65.00 a month using true Lane app well it quit working after a year.replaced my malfunctioning iPhone with a TCL 40 X 5 g installed the app on the new phone guess what app still won't work deleted it and reinstalled it.meanwhile my premium went up to $76.00 month talked to Hartford customer service was told a lie that all insurance companies are raising rates because of accidents.good joke today went to check February premium $84.00 checked to see if customer service fixed the app it was cancelled by the Hartford. Why does AARP endorse the Hartford they are clearly a JOKE OF AN EXCUSE FOR AN INSURANCE COMPANY AND SO IS THE TRUE LANE APP!!!! Will not recommend to my worst enemy!!!

I've been with this company for two years, pay in full once a year, high limits and zero tickets & accidents. Recently I was driving a friends truck and was struck from behind. A few days later I sought medical treatment for a sore neck. Basically not my fault, no claim as I was driving someone else's vehicle. My insurance went from $2500 to $4500. I can't imagine what my insurance would be if it was my fault. Another agent said I used my PIP that's why the increase occurred. SMH
