Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My 15 1/2 year old papillon who is a picky eater couldn't lick his bowl clean enough.

We’re thrilled that even your 15½-year-old picky Papillon loved Happy Howl enough to lick his bowl clean. Seeing pups of all ages enjoy their meals is exactly why we do what we do!

My dog has made visible health improvements during his first few months eating happy howl. He has terrible skin issues but he is starting to regrow hair and has more energy. I do think his prescribed amount of food should be a little more than they recommend but it's already tipping the scales of my budget since he's a 75lb dog so I add additional meat and veggies that I cook.

Would not exchange a flavor. I ordered a large 36 pack box and 10 of them were Lamb. My dogs do not like the lamb. I asked customer service to exchange the lamb for one of the other flavors and customer service wouldnt do an exchange because it was a subscription order rather than a full price order. Not classy at all. Just because I didnt pay full price doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to exchange for a different flavor. At no time did I ask for a refund of any kind. Just a flavor exchange. Lost a customer.

We want to clarify that we do acceptexchanges, even for subscription orders. A member of our customer experience team will be reaching out shortly to help arrange swapping the Lamb for a flavor your dogs enjoy. We truly appreciate your patience and want to make sure your pups are happy with every meal.

Ordered a sample pack to try for $30. My dogs did not care for the food. It was similar to farmers dog in that it is greasy which upset their stomach. I did not intend to buy it again when I noticed $100 had been taken out of my account for a happy howl substitution. When I went to cancel one of the options was "I never intended to get a subscription " so they must have in some fine print I didn't read that this was set up. They refused to give me my money back. They told me I only had 2 days to cancel once ordered, which I knew nothing about. Imagine how much money they make doing this.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and the confusion regarding the subscription. Our records show you checked out with a Trial Pack. Per our website, there is only one checkout option for the trial pack which is to "subscribe & save" which is why another order was placed based on the 2 week shipping frequency selected at checkout.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear the product arrived safely and looked great, but we’re sorry to hear that your dog didn’t want to eat it. Every pup can have their own preferences, and sometimes it can take a little time for them to adjust to something new. If you’d like, we’d be happy to offer some tips for transitioning or help you find an option that might work better for your dog.
