Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

One of the two dogs I have didn’t like the lamb. That’s the only one I’ve fed so far. I’ll know about the other two in the sample pack at a later date. The look and smell of the food doesn’t look or smell bad. Also it said I was going to have a bag and scoop in the box. I never received that.
Response from Happy HowlAug 28, 2026
Thank you so much for your honest feedback! We are so glad to hear the look and smell of the food passed the test, and we hope the other two recipes in your sampler are a big hit. If it turns out lamb just isn't their favorite, we can always customize a combo pack of beef and turkey for you! We are also so sorry to hear that your bag and spoon were missing from your order. We would be more than happy to send you a brand new sample pack completely free of charge—just reply directly to this message if you're interested, and we'll get that taken care of for you right away!

Zarlee gets excited for dinner time. Wasn’t happening prior to switching to Happy Howl. Had a lot of wasted dog food but not any more!!
Response from Happy HowlAug 27, 2026
We love hearing this so much! Transforming dinner time from a chore into a high-tail-wagging event is what we are all about. Say goodbye to wasted bowls and hello to a super happy pup. Give Zarlee a big pat on the head from all of us!

Had a little burp with delivery, but my babies are so happy to have their Happy Howl back again. I had to compromise and buy them some commercial dog food. They ate it but did not show the enthusiasm they show with Happy Howl. And my oldest girl's allergies have kicked in again from the commercial junk. Thank God for Happy Howl. I feel so much better feeding them Happy Howl and they feel so much better eating it.

We are smiling from ear to ear reading this! Seeing that difference in enthusiasm and health really says it all, and we are so honored to be the wholesome choice your pups love and thrive on. Thank you for your patience during the shipping delay, and give your sweet senior girl an extra pat on the head from all of us!

We tried Spot and Tango and our 15 yr old Labrador needed to be coaxed to eat the food. Due to new onset tracheal stenosis, we need to change to wet food diet. I came across Happy Howl and my oh my! He LOVES this, as do my other picky eaters. My Lab gets so EXCITED when we are preparing this for his dish. it smells delicious and looks good too! I started using it as a topper for two of my picky eaters as well!
Response from Happy HowlAug 27, 2026
Hearing that your sweet 15-year-old Lab gets so excited for mealtime brings the biggest smile to our faces! Switching to a soft, wet food diet for tracheal stenosis can be a big transition, so knowing Happy Howl makes it easy, delicious, and safe for him means the world to us. Winning over the rest of your picky eaters as a topper is the ultimate cherry on top! Welcome to the pack!

Pickiest dog in the entire world actually ate the beef stew. I'm in awe! Hoping she continues. I bought the samples. If she's consistent I'll subscribe. Don't love support or the website though.
