Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Great product and easy clean up
Response from Happy HowlApr 10, 2026
We’re really glad you’re enjoying Happy Howl and that the clean-up is easy too. Convenience is a big part of what we aim for, so it’s always nice to know that’s coming through alongside the quality of the food.

My dog loves the food but he always gets a bit of an upset stomach when he eats it and that’s only giving him a small amount and using it as a topper with his kibble, I know it would be better for him than the kibble but can’t have him getting diarrhea every time he eats it, so I’m just trying smaller amounts as the topper and seeing if I can’t get him used to it.

It’s actually a good sign that he enjoys the food, but digestive sensitivity like diarrhea can definitely happen during transition or when even small amounts are a bit rich for his system. A few things that may help you figure this out safely: •Slow it down even more: If you’re already using it as a topper, try going even smaller (like a teaspoon amount) and increase much more gradually over 1–2 weeks. •Separate from kibble timing: Some dogs do better when new foods aren’t mixed directly with kibble at first. •Consistency matters: Stick with one recipe (instead of rotating) while his stomach adjusts. •Check kibble interaction: Sometimes it’s not the new food alone, but the combination or timing that causes the upset.

My dog really liked this food at first and preferred it to his other food but then lately has stopped eating it and doesn’t like it. I don’t know if it was a bad batch but it’s too expensive for my dog to turn his nose up at … I still have a box and a half left and if he continues to do that I’ll cancel
Response from Happy HowlApr 13, 2026
A change in interest like this is more often related to preference shifts, feeding context, or routine changes rather than a bad batch but we absolutely want to make sure nothing was off with your order. If you can share the lot number or order details, we’re happy to check it right away for quality assurance [email protected].

The food is great. Both of our dogs love it . My only complaint is that delivery seems to be very SLOW !
Response from Happy HowlApr 10, 2026
Thanks for the honest feedback, we’re really glad your dogs love the food, and I’m sorry to hear about the delivery delays. That’s definitely not the experience we want, especially when you’re relying on a set routine for both dogs. Our customer support team is happy to help [email protected].

The company is great! My dog does not like any of the food choices.
Response from Happy HowlApr 13, 2026
We’re sorry to hear your dog hasn’t liked the food options though. Every dog is different, and sometimes it can take a bit of trial and error to find the right recipe or texture that clicks with them. If you’d like, we can help troubleshoot a bit: •Try a different protein (some dogs strongly prefer one over another) •Mix a small amount with their current food to adjust gradually •Warm it slightly to enhance aroma and palatability •Or adjust portion size/feeding time to increase interest

Quick shipping and food I feel good feeding my dog. While it is costly, it is quality food my dog gets excited about eating at feeding time. She knows what the box looks like and jumps for joy that it is feeding time.
Response from Happy HowlApr 10, 2026
We’re especially glad your dog gets so excited at feeding time and even recognizes the box, that’s exactly the kind of joy and routine we hope Happy Howl brings into the household.
