Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Real wholesome ingredients with none of the fuss is exactly what we are all about and we love that that resonates with you! We look forward to keeping your pups happy and their bowls full for a long time to come!

My beagle Dixie loves this food and it’s even good for her. Her coat is so incredibly soft now eating this. The Lamb delight is lower sodium and that is what we were looking for. Anything that needs adjusting customer service is right in top of it! Great food great service. We really do have a Happy Howl breakfast and dinner because she’s a hound! I would love to share a happy video.

we know how important it is to find the right food for your pup's specific health requirements and we are so honored to be that solution for Dixie! Yes please, we would absolutely love to see a happy video of Dixie enjoying her Happy Howl breakfast or dinner! Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] and share it with us — we have a feeling it would make our entire team's day!

If I could give this company a -10 rating I would!!! They use predatory practices. Read canceling orders section, they cover all scenarios to not refund your money. I ordered the trial (on sale). I made sure when I ordered to not sign up for a subscription- yes it defaults for a subscription. 2 weeks after I order i get an email 2am thanking me for my next order. I call, the number 888-436-7490 it’s perpetually busy. I text, I email and I chat to cancel this next order. I try to login to cancel, they have to send you a code. It takes 3 tries before they release the code to access my account. While I am canceling my subscription they then send me another email saying order is now shipping. This all happened within a span of 10 min. Their algorithms are also predatory. Don’t do business with this company!!! Read their charge back policy and you’ll know everything you need to know about this company. Make sure you get a cancellation email and keep all your documentation to negate their chargeback dispute. I hope more people report them as predatory. Never again will I buy from them. $72 dollars turned into $164 without my consent. UPDATE: LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR..BUYER BE WARY…This company’s response is a clear cover up for their predatory practices. The whole point being I NEVER signed up for a subscription…EVER!!!!! The site defaulted for a subscription, even though I toggled for a one time trial order. I caught it and toggled it OFF for a subscription before I placed the trial (in hindsight-that should have been a red flag NOT to order!!!!). Their algorithm still signed me up for a FULL subscription (not a trial..with choices they picked for food flavors mind you !!!!) and notified me same day they charged and shipped, giving you no time to act. Now they are saying I lied and didn’t call, nor chat nor emailed them. Par for the course, it just underscores their behavior-if they weren’t predatory, they would reach out and offer to right this wrong.

We want to be very clear, it is never our intention to make any customer feel trapped or unheard and we take your feedback about the subscription default, account access difficulties and order cancellation process very seriously. The trial packs are not eligible for a refund as mentioned in our terms that you agreed to before checking out. Our teams are also available on our website for you to view prior to checkout. Also, our team sends two upcoming order emails prior to shipping your subscription order. First email is sent 7 days before, the second email is sent two days prior to our order shipping. You also have access to log into your subscription at anytime to stop any orders. The codes are sent to your email and text if you signed up to receive text. Our customer support team is available Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. We do not see any communication from you under this email address so you can call, text or email us to help any question you have [email protected].

Excellent shipping and quality but consistently ships missing the stainless spoon for the food. 3 orders and got the spoon once
Response from Happy HowlMay 22, 2026
We are so glad your orders have been arriving quickly and that you are happy with the food! We do want to clarify that the stainless spoon is actually a reusable welcome gift that is included with your very first order only, since it is designed to last it is not included in every shipment going forward!

Never have to worry about my delivery as I get a text letting me know when to expect delivery.
Response from Happy HowlMay 22, 2026
We completely agree, knowing exactly when your delivery is arriving takes all the guesswork out of it and gives you that extra peace of mind that your pup will never miss a meal!

I just received my 1st box & Mason just loved it. It's early just incorporating into his diet but the signs are good. Thank you
Response from Happy HowlMay 22, 2026
We are so excited to hear that the early signs are good and we just know he is going to continue to love it more and more! Taking it slow and incorporating it gradually is a great approach and we are so glad it is going smoothly so far!

My dog loves the food and all of the flavors so much. She is a very picky eater so this product is amazing and it’s locally made.
Response from Happy HowlMay 22, 2026
Winning over a picky eater across all of the flavors is truly the highest honor and we are absolutely thrilled that your girl is loving every single one!
