Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My Frenchie loves this food and as long as he’s happy, I’m happy we get it quickly. It’s convenient shelf stable and smells great and looks even better.
Response from Happy HowlJun 2, 2026
As long as the Frenchie is happy, everyone is happy—we completely agree with that rule! We take a lot of pride in crafting recipes that actually look and smell like real food, so hearing that it hits the mark for your handsome guy completely makes our day. Thank you for the wonderful shoutout!

Cosmo loves Happy Howl (HH) especially Grandma’s Beef Stew! I love the fact that I can store HH in the pantry. Most importantly, because Cosmo and I travel a lot, I always had to dry ice to keep the cold/frozen dog food cold and frozen. NO MORE!! HH is so convenient!
Response from Happy HowlJun 2, 2026
Ditching the dry ice coolers is a massive milestone—welcome to the ultimate travel freedom, Cosmo! We are absolutely thrilled that Grandma’s Beef Stew is such a huge hit and that our pantry-safe recipes are making your adventures together so much easier and stress-free. Thank you for bringing us along on your journeys, and happy trails to you both!

I think generally it's a good product but seems to have a lot more rice and potatoes than I expected. ... But my dogs love it, just sometimes the rice seems hard and my dog with teeth missing had a hard time with it.
Response from Happy HowlMay 29, 2026
We wanted to clarify that the rice in our recipe makes up only about 8% of the total ingredients. It’s included in a small amount to support digestion and provide a balanced source of energy. The rice and protein have a blended appearance. We blend our meals to ensure every bite delivers consistent nutrition and flavor for your pup. Your dog is still getting all the great nutrients they need, just in a naturally blended, protein-rich form. Thanks again for caring so much about what goes into your dog’s bowl, we do too! 💚

I switched from Fresh Pet to Happy Howl. I was tired of my fridge always being full of dog food! I love that this is shelf stable! My dog is a very picky eater, at first I didn’t think he was going to like it but he has adjusted ok!! Something that Fresh Pet did which I really liked after so many orders you would get a free gift! Wish you guys did something like this! Also I was under the impression with Happy Howl we would have storage bags and scoops sent with every order! Got my 2nd order this week but no storage bags or a scoop..Just thought I would mention this! Thank you! Terry and Ollie

Reclaiming the refrigerator is a major milestone—welcome to the shelf-stable life, Terry and Ollie! We are so glad Ollie is enjoying his food. Just to clear up the confusion on the accessories: our reusable scoops and bags are meant to last, so we only include them in order #1. If your first box was missing them, please reach out to our support team directly so we can send them over right away! We also appreciate the feedback on a rewards program; we're always looking for ways to treat our recurring pack members. Thanks for the wonderful note!

We want to make sure you have everything you need to make mealtime as easy as possible, so we would be absolutely happy to get those sent right out to you.
