Happy HowlWhere it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

I have an extremely picky 17 yr old Chihuahua with 2 teeth. I've had him for 15yrs and have tried every food on the market and haven't had any luck finding something he would eat. Seriously. I ordered the trial to begin with that had 3 flavors and the only one he would eat was the lamb. I was shocked when he chowed it down, I'd never seen him actually want to eat his food. This is the absolute 💯 truth. He still gets picky with it so I am giving him another food in between, but all in all he still loves his Happy Howl Lamb the best. Wish I could have found this year's ago.

Seventeen years old and down to two teeth—he sounds like an absolute legend, and clearly he knows exactly what he wants! Winning over a pup who has spent 15 years turning his nose up at every food on the market is a massive victory for our kitchen team. We completely understand that he still likes to keep you on your toes with his picky days, but we are so incredibly honored to be his favorite. Thank you for sharing your story and for giving us a chance to feed your sweet boy!

The easy way to store and the way our baby eats it. It's not watery and messy like some we tried and doesn't take up room in our freezer.

Freezer space is precious real estate, so we're really glad we could help you win some of it back! We always wanted to create a food that was packed with real nutrition without the extra water weight or the messy prep. Thank you so much for taking the time to share how it's working for your family!

I "purchased" a sample pack to try the product and flavors on my picky dog. Within a month I receive an email saying they are getting my order ready. I missed the email and they sent and charged me for $100 worth of food (that my dog won't eat). Bad business!
Response from Happy HowlJun 11, 2026
We strive to be entirely transparent about our subscription process and send advance email alerts before any recurring order is finalized. We are sorry to hear that you missed the notification and that the recipes didn't work out for your pup, but we appreciate your feedback.
