We had originally ordered the farmers dog for our pups but it was a little costly for us. When I went to cancel, they offered a DIY mix where you buy your own ingredients and make your own. Just adding in the diy nutrient mix to the ingredients. I thought I would have to find some recipes online to put the DIY mix in it but then realized that they have recipes on the website! With so many options. From Beef to pork, chicken and turkey to even tilapia. Plus it was more cost effective for my husband and I to do that. My two dogs LOVE it! My Jug Bubbas dances when he realizes that he is gonna be fed and even my picky Pembroke Welsh Corgi Ein likes it too!! I have made their own food three times already and it is so much better! I was used to buy them freshpet but knowing exactly what I am putting into their food is so much better! Bubbas is more of a senior dog as he turns 12 years old this month but he still acts like a puppy and his fur is soo soft!! The same thing with our Corgi too. He is so soft and has so much energy! If I had known about this when Bubbas was a puppy I would have been doing this for him! Thank you to The Farmers Dog for doing what you do!!

We are almost ready for shipment 2. But. Both dogs (one 80 lb mostly Labrador) and our 40 pound (mix beagle/daschund) Are already having nicer fur, more energy (both are technically “senior” dogs by veterinary standards) … I easily navigated altering choices for box 2 (coming in 3 days) to a recipe change for the 40 pound dog and confirmed via chat (as I’m using cheat readers) at 56! That I made correct changes. As an aside. I live in NE FL… ( Hurricane alley) I bought the igloo 3.5 cubic foot chest freezer from Amazon for $199. It holds more than you think. Not just dog food but room enough for human food/. I’m 5 feet 5 inches and can reach the bottom … if that helps anyone else with 2dogs/2humans… and not enough freezer space !

We used a "trial" of Farmers Dog. Trial to us means to pay to try it out "and then" sign up if you want more. Our dog had to be hand feed this food and so we decided to not use it. Then we got an email saying we had an order coming to our home as part of a "subscription" we had "signed up" for. We signed up for a trial, never an ongoing subscription. It took a lot of work via Google to get a phone number to reach them. The person answering told me they "only" had subscriptions for their product. They then noted there was "fine print" that we could cancel to avoid auto orders. This made it our fault! We had only gotten through less than half the trial order before knowing our dog would not eat the food. How could anyone decide in this short period of time? We live in a world of unethical business behavior. If Farmer Dog was a ethical business it would make clear in large print and with warnings that signing up for a trial was what the average person knows a trial to be. They would also have an 800 numbers readily available in their website. Instead, they play a slight of hand to get people to sign up not realizing they are really signing up for an ongoing subscription. This dishonesty is infuriating!!! Trying to buy even on Amazon often means being overly careful to buy "only" the item one time - not stuck in a monthly order scam. And trying to undo it takes a lot of work. Farmers Dog did provide a full refund even though the order had been sent out. I was furious with the person answering as they calming claimed Farmers Dog is "only" a subscription company. Somehow this made ME the problem!!! Ghezz. To think this is an honest way of doing business is a lie and a lack of character as seen in so many businesses. And the hassles inflicted on honest everyday people makes for a bad reputation. Or it should. Will this review be seen by the CEO? I doubt it nor will anything change as a result. If people will read this complaint is unclear. Sadly, more and more people are willing to accept these kinds of trickier. I lam less likely to buy anything online these days as I find issues like these so common.

I recently purchased my first order for my adopted and beautiful Coco. Before the order was delivered Casey reached out to me via text message. I had a small issue and I reached out to him and surprise surprise he almost immediately he texted me back. His concern, knowledge and understanding were outstanding. He guided me and explained things clearly and simple. Casey definitely made this experience an amazing and my Coco is a happy one today. Thank you Casey!

My dog, who is now 11 years old, has been on the Hills diet since she was almost 2 due to frequent UTIs. Her bowel movements were always very soft. Approximately 2-3 years ago, she developed acute pancreatitis, and we almost lost her. Scans revealed a mass on her gallbladder and a couple of masses on her spleen. She was hospitalized for a few days, and that’s when I decided to try the Farmers Dog food. Not only did she love the food, but she also tolerated it very well, and her bowel movements became completely normal. She recently had her gallbladder and spleen removed, and she is back on the Farmers Dog food, living life to the fullest again. The customer service is exceptional; I’ve never experienced anything like it. They not only emailed me when I needed help or had questions but also texted me all the information I needed to present to my vet while I was in transit to the veterinary hospital. This has been, by far, the most amazing company I’ve ever dealt with. Thank you to everyone at the Farmers Dog!

First…The Farmer’s Dog support and customer service teams are fabulous. The dog food has made my dog leaner and stronger with lots of energy to chase the cats around the house. It is packed and sent so well for safety and freshness there is no doubt it matters to them regarding the shipping process. Second…it tastes good! Yes, I tried a taste of the turkey food and was very impressed, knowing my dog would love it. (If you won’t eat it then why make your dog eat it?) She hops around while I fix her bowl and gobbles it down. When Ally’s sister passed at 15, she was so depressed, ate minimum at meals, and slept most of the day but TFDog food was like a giant treat daily that changed her mood and revived her to want to be active again. Third…Yes, there are other dog food companies with wet food options. I tried Ollie’s food and my dog was hesitant to try it and eventually tossed it up. It doesn’t mean a company makes “bad/poisoned” food as one reviewer suggested of TFDog food, it just means your pet’s body/digestive system is not prepared for that particular food so don’t try to damage a company’s product just because it didn’t work for you. That’s unnecessary. Thank you, Farmer’s Dog for your products and especially for your attitude and support of your customers and non-customers.

I have been using Farmer's Dog for about a year. Each box comes with a a few different flavors like, Chicken, Turkey, etc. The packets are easy to use and measure out the amount of food to use. The orders are shipped in an insulated box and the food is frozen, to be thawed when ready to use. It did take me a bit of time to get my dogs changed over to a more healthy diet. (Wouldn't we all rather eat pizza and ice cream than eating our vegetables!) We put a little parmesan on the top and voila! The customer service is exceptional! When I've emailed for information I receive a response within a couple hours, and the response is personal and not from a bot. This company does it right. They make it easy to do business with them, help with questions, and provide a quality product.

Wow wow my golden retriever Gracie is healthier and happier since she started to eat fresh delicious Farmers Dog food a month ago. We were told she was a bit overweight and after some research we decided to try Farmers dog fresh healthy food. She has lost 2 pounds and is healthier and happier.
