Shenanigans
Do not trust Terminix. They're complete thieves!
Have not received partial refund from Terminex for incomplete service. 06NOV2020: Woke up to find a mouse in my wife and I living room. Called Terminex to schedule inspection service to find entry points and repairs. They scheduled a technician to come to our home on 07NOV2020 along with an inspector. 07NOV2020: Terminex Technician arrived on time and laid down mice traps in different areas of our house (living area, master bedroom, guess bedroom, and laundry room). During this time, we continued waiting for Terminex Inspector, Steven Y, but he never showed up. 08NOV2020: Contacted Terminex to complain about the inspectors' no show. In the Terminex system Steven Y rescheduled himself without giving any notice. We asked for a different inspector due to Steven Y not showing up on more than one occasion. Inspector Alex S was scheduled to come to our home to inspect instead. 11NOV2020: Terminex Inspector Alex S arrived on time and found 4 openings outside of our home needing repairs which mice had access. Inside our home was not inspected for possible openings. Later the same day, he text quotes for the 4 holes giving an initial total of $1647 but deducted $200 since we have an existing account making the total $1467. Sealing the two pre-existing door panels to our crawl space and the other 2 holes. 12NOV2020: I signed the contract with Alex S to schedule service for 18NOV2020. 18NOV2020: Terminex Technician Anthony M arrived on time inspecting the 4 holes. Before starting repairs he stated he needed to go purchase 2 small wooden beams from a nearby Home Improvement Store (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc.). Anthony M returned to start repairs. He sealed the two crawl spaces and placed a plastic hole cover over the other. When it came to the 4th and final hole, Anthony M verified he was not certified or licensed to repair the hole due to the hole being foundation and needing cement to seal the hole. He also explained since the service was incomplete, we were due a partial refund and he would contact his manager. 19NOV2020: I received a text from Alex S asking how the service went. I told him the service was incomplete and why and we are due a partial refund. Alex stated he would contact his manager concerning the matter. 24NOV2020: I called Terminex due to no response on our partial refund including letting them know we were still mice around our home, and the service is still incomplete. We did not receive an answer we will be filing a complaint through BBB. Later that day, received an email from another manager, Kenneth Evans, by which he knew of the situation. He tried to offer an outside company that could help with filling the foundation with cement, but I instructed we want our partial refund instead. He then hung up on me after mentioning the partial refund claiming an apartment fire. I did not receive a call back after that. 25NOV2020: I received a text from Alex S again stating he was on vacation and if he could "TRY" filling hole himself the next week after the holiday. I messaged him back stating we are not happy with how we were being handled, brushed off and would like to receive our partial refund (yet again) no response after that. 01DEC2020: I called Terminex again, upset because it has been almost a month and still left with an incomplete service, no partial refund, and overcharged for an incomplete service that consist of 2 small slabs of wooden beams covering MY pre-existing wooden door panels, a plastic covering for another hole, and the last hole still left open. Even with labor included in the service already completed does not total to the amount of $1467. In the paperwork attached I was charged $1427. Terminex stated they had all my calls and complaints on file and would be forwarding everything to corporate to be handled within 24-48 hours. 04DEC2020: It's been over 48 hours and still no call/ message rectifying the the situation.
