We were scheduled to have them come out to get rid of birds in a vent. They scheduled it for 5-7 p.m. and then changed it to 4-6 p.m. They did not show up the day of the scheduled service. They never called us or our landlord to say they could not find the place or could not make it. I have been a homeowner up to this point and have never been treated this way. Just bc someone chooses to rent doesn’t mean they are not to be respected. We are purchasing a home in 2 years and I will never use or recommend Terminix, ever!

Do not use this branch
Terminex was supposed to clean, disinfect, take away old insulation and install new. They did terrible job. There is a vapor barrier over old insulation walls and floorbad, the insulation installed is contaminated would like it all removed.branch Manager Richard Leatherman told me they stand by work and it's not that bad.He did offer to clean and disinfect and put new vapor barrier in.I would like insulation taken down cleaned and disinfected, because it is contaminated and should have been done right first time.If I never said anything they would have left it like that.Thats not good business and Richard Leatherman really does not care.

Horrible experience
Had the tech no show to appointments multiple times and be extremely rude to me and my husband. He came out and sprayed only our front door after we'd requested inside and outside service. When the tech finally came back to complete the service after me calling in multiple times, he was belligerent, yelled at me and then did not do any spraying.
I called that same day to complain and was told I'd receive a call back within 24-48 hours. It's now been over a week and I have not received a call back despite following up multiple times. I was told my refund request had been processed but when I called back to follow up since I did not see the refund on my card, I was told that service had been rendered and I would not receive a refund. Terminix has extremely deceitful business practices and I would not recommend anyone use them.

Stay away from Terminix.
On March 30, 2023, I called my local Terminix company in Lakeland, Florida and cancelled my service. I had been a customer for approximately 15 months and had fulfilled the one-year contract I'd signed up for. On April 8, 2023, a technician arrived and removed the bait stations that had been installed around my house. On May 4, 2023, I received an email from Terminix entitled: Your Terminix service has been cancelled. Since that time, they have billed me twice, once for May and once for June. I ignored these bills but called the national company at least four times (since they sent the bills) and the Lakeland, Florida branch once. In each case, I was eventually told (although I did get a runaround each time I called the national company) that my service was cancelled and I did not owe them any money. When I received the June bill, I sent it back with a note that I was no longer a customer and included the termination number they'd provided in the email of May 4. Yesterday, on July 11, 2023, I received a letter from Terminix telling me my account was two months past due and to ensure my account remains current, I needed to make my payments ASAP "to ensure my account remains current," and threatening to report my so-called delinquency to credit bureaus. I'd be willing to pay the amount due ($46.66) just to get these guys off my back but it sounds as if that will just get me more monthly bills. I seem to be trapped between a rock and a hard place and it's beginning to look as if I need to take legal action to protect my credit rating. IMHO, these guys deserve zero stars.

Negative stars - thieves
Negative stars. The worst. A total scam. They deceive the elderly about the severity of the problem, overcharge them for services they don’t even provide, then refuse to cancel service until their traps are collected, but they won’t come collect them. The absolute worst. I can’t believe they’re allowed to continue to do business.

I went with Terminix for bat…
I went with Terminix for bat eviction/exclusion based in part on the many positive Google reviews, and they're availability when the time for bat eviction was ending in Illinois. Huge mistake. Terminix had no availability until after the eviction window ended. So the inspector grabbed the bat from his roosting place in my attic, saying he would release him in Beardstown (both actions are potentially illegal) and that they would come back the next week to seal the gaps and make sure the bat was gone and couldn't come back. Four technicians were on my property for less than 2 hours, and I was charged over $3,000. They did not fill the holes in the attic until the end of the job when I asked a tech to go up there with me. I was dismayed to discover that most of the holes were plainly visible! They hadn't been touched at all. The technician said they were "hard to get to" but then filled some, and said "We'll have to come back for the rest." Very slapdash and unprofessional. (The guy even bemoaned the fact that they only make $18 an hour!) They never followed up and the bat returned immediately. I asked for a full refund on the basis of the shoddy work. The service manager said that the inspector was wrong to have grabbed the bat because they are protected by law and that he didn't get a lift to do a proper job. He said that the inspector would be reprimanded. I insisted on a full refund, but the branch manager refused because "there were workers at my house and they did work." I've never before written a demand letter for poor service, or posted a review like this online, so that gives you some sense of how bad this company is.

No show.
Filled out a web form for someone to come out for gnats. They called me back right away to schedule an appointment for the next day, 10-Noon. Shortly after, I received a text from “Charlie” confirming our appointment. By 12:10 the next day, no one came to our house, so I texted “Charlie” that they no longer needed to come. They replied “Thanks”.

$1500 and I didn't even have termites…

CUT AND PASTED FROM THIER WEBSITE CHAT
ME-Cancel my service.
-Hello, I'm sorry to hear that ... My name is Brandy ... Could you please verify your full name...?
-Hi, William! Do you mind me asking why ... cancel services...?
ME -I got this service because I found a soft spot in my floors and was worried it might be termites. However, I was under the house this weekend and found that I never had termites only a bit of dry rot. Your inspector should have confirmed that in the first place.
-I understand. I am very sorry for that. This is a preventative and curative termite system. (To save words, I'm redacting the sales pitch to renew at a lower rate next year).
ME -That first sentence you just typed is a workaround for your inspector scamming me. However, I'm too busy for small claims court, so continue the service until the end of the month but then do not renew it.
-You will need to contact us after your July 26 payment to cancel, as we do not do pre cancels.
I have reversed your cancellation request at this time, to keep from charging you an ETF! If you do receive a survey via text within the next 2 business days about the cancellation request, please disregard since it has been reversed. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
ME -I'm saving this message and if you charge me again after the 26th, we will go to court. I am not giving you permission to stonewall me and renew my contract.
-Sir, I'm advising you of our policies and in order to NOT be charged after the 26th, you will need to contact us again. If you do not contact us again, you WILL continue to get charged.
ME-I'm advising you of my policy and you better not charge me after the 26th.
-Well, then you do need to call us back after the 26th! I won't continue to argue. Have a wonderful week!
ME-Let me speak to your supervisor
