I did a lot of research prior to purchasing from System76 as a lifelong Microsoft, Apple, and nontechnical user. I appreciate how straightforward S76 is with their product customization options and their commitment to lifelong customer service. As someone who knows little to nothing about computers but values privacy, the out-of-the-box experience that S76 provides is unmatched. Should there be any issues, I have confidence in their ability to assist me as a complete newbie. Other companies/products would have forced me to manually install a Linux OS or deal with update/firmware issues that I would fear to navigate. If you are looking to finally make the step away from Microsoft/Apple, S76 may be the solution for you.

So smooth. The laptop is amazing. Using it with Occulink, I just love it. I know things are pricey right now, and supply is short, but I do feel I received a great value even at these inflated prices; it's high quality.

Zero regrets buying this laptop. So far it works seamlessly. It is very light and and the keyboard is comfortable to use. Delivery to Canada was very fast.

For the most part... The new POP 24. with Cosmic from System 76 has been very satisfying with some very strong points -- especially the ability to encrypt the hard drive. The product was delivered in the time as promised and in good condition. Small but negative thoughts: the key board could be more robust since the keys do not feel solid under the fingers when touch typing. Other small things that I hope will be solved in time (NOTE: if some of these exist, it has certainly been difficult to find the correct settings.) Small things: 1. it seems impossible to disable the touch pad completely so the cursor jumps when typing quickly if your thumb hits the touch pad. 2. It would be much more convenient to be able to arrange the items on the desktop to suit personal needs instead of being locked into Cosmic's very rigid grid. Aside from these small points, I would certainly recommend this laptop and Cosmic as a desktop.
