On September 30, I opened a ticket. paid for 3-day delivery. On October 6th my keyboard arrived. On October 7th I reported the F9 key is broken. Twice since then I have provided my address (the same address as the keyboard and my last two computers were sent to.) It is now October 22. I have not received a replacement F9 nor heard any word back from Customer Happiness or Jordi.

Hello! Looks like we never received a direct confirmation about the address so we were hesitant to ship, but do agree that a follow up communication would have been more positive. A new representative will be reaching out to you shortly with the resolution. Looking forward to turning this experience around for you! Sorry about this.

Computer is stuck in Sydney
Computer is stuck in Sydney. After making inquiries the delivery is delayed until duties are paid. I wasn't contacted by anyone about the delay
Response from System76Sep 8, 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We are looking into why your delivery has been delayed and will contact you as soon as we know more. At first glance, it was delayed because international duties and taxes need to be paid but now that doesn't appear to be the case according to tracking. We will discuss with UPS and get back to you. Sorry for this experience, but we'll get it worked out!

Hmmmm,.. Charger died,.. no support, I do understand that you cannot recommend "every" 3rd party battery or charger vendor, that is reasonable, but couldn't you review and recommend one or two..??
I have 2 system 76 laptops. One of the chargers died and I contacted them for a replacement.. They told me to find one myself, they did not send a link to an aftermarket charger or anything,.. just said "here are the specs, good luck" ! After spending nearly $3k on their hardware, I expected more from a reportedly high end computer provider.

Hello! Thank you for the feedback! When a component is discontinued, we do our best to provide the part number but we can't vet every 3rd party supplier of chargers and batteries so we do not actively send links to unknown 3rd party sources. We will keep this in mind and see if there is a better process we can implement. Thank you for your support.

Just disappointed
I really wanted to love this purchase. I like System76 hardware, I like the Lemur Pro design, and I’ve had good impressions of their products before. The laptop also arrived quickly with rush assembly and overnight shipping, which I paid for because I needed it for upcoming work.
Unfortunately, the unit arrived with a defective internal display. The laptop itself booted, and an external monitor worked, but the built-in screen stayed blank. After some troubleshooting, it was clearly a physical display or cable issue: the display would only work if I pressed on the back of the screen assembly.
Support was responsive and polite. They replied quickly and suggested a simple internal cable check I could try if comfortable. I appreciated that, and I did try the recommended check, but the issue appeared to be elsewhere in the display assembly.
The disappointing part is that I paid extra for rush assembly and overnight shipping, but because the laptop arrived defective, I still ended up spending time troubleshooting, emailing support, repacking the unit, driving to UPS, dropping it off, and waiting through the replacement cycle. In practice, I paid for speed but will receive a working laptop much later than expected, likely on a timeline closer to standard assembly and delivery.
I want to like this company, and the support person I dealt with was helpful. But the out-of-box defect and replacement process made the overall experience very disappointing before I even got a working unit. This feels like the kind of issue that could have been caught by a basic display check before shipping. I don’t like having to spend my own time resolving a problem with hardware that arrived defective, especially after paying extra to get it quickly.

Hello! We appreciate you sharing your experience and sorry that you had an issue after receiving the product. We do a range of testing that includes display checks prior to shipping, but we're sorry this occurred and will determine what we can do to prevent this in the future. We will get your replacement system shipped as quickly as possible.

Will Not Buy From That Manufacturer Again
Bought a maxed out Thelio Mira at over 5000 canadian dollars after taxes, what I got was a user machine, not a workstation.
Where do I start? Well, computer took about 2 months to arrive as I recall. Also, pay attention, because unlike a lot of distributors abroad, they won't charge you taxes and your shipment will get stopped at the border where you will have to arrange for tax payment.
Half the ram went bad within 1.5 years (not a hard crash, more subtle than that enough to slip past the warranty period). The technician (I trust him) told me the RAM they provided was cheap.
The machine crashed a lot at first because the System76 drivers where not really compatible with Ubuntu 24.04 (from end 2024 to mid 2025 where I stopped installing them anyways). It took a couple of reinstalls before I realized it was the System76 drivers and my machine was stable after I stopped installing them.
Beyond that, I have a couple of second-hand Dell poweredges, an Asus Tuf gaming machine and aging Lenovo D30 for comparison and compared to those machines, the inside of the Thelio Mira feels like an art project. Countless steel components and screws (good if you intend to smash your computer with a baseball bat, not so much if you want to access most components in a timely fashion) and unlike all my other machines I worked on so far, the Mira won't boot unless the external casing is on (no quick troubleshooting without having to put things back on for you sir).
Oh yes, and the BIOS doesn't have hardware diagnostics. Unless you want to unscrew everything and pop out your RAM to test it elsewhere, you need to run RAM diagnostics while the OS is running (really not ideal). If there had been a BIOS diagnostics, I might have identified the RAM problem before the warranty ran out.
Also, the PSU they ship with is conservative. Be prepared to change that if you significantly want to upgrade your GPU for something that consume more power (you'll be cutting it very close).
I'm definitely buying my next workstation from a local distributor. Just more accountability.
I'll give it 2 stars because the machine is powerful and having a flip switch for the nvmes is neat.

Hello, thank you for the feedback about Thelio Mira. We understand when components fail that it can be a rough experience, but we always do our best to work with customers on handling warranty issues in a timely manner when they are reported. We'll take your feedback into account when developing the next generation.

Overpriced parts, reluctant customer service
I STILL do not have the information that I requested for from System 76. I was told that you could get me the manufacturer and part number for my part, but the MINUTE I paid up and you shipped the replacement part, my case was dropped like a hot potato.
Overall, I am not happy with wither the quality of the laptop, nor the quality of the service I have received over the lifetime of the product. Given a 2000$ laptop and a premium service subscription on top of it, I am just so disappointed.
I do want to support the Linux laptop ecosystem, but I will most probably look elsewhere for my next purchase.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback! I'm sorry we don't have a specific part number to provide for the DC in jack, but it does look like we successfully shipped one to you. We reached out in the ticket with the manufacturer information and hope this helps resolve the ticket.
