I have over the years bought two laptops from HP. Both computers have been delivered with minor defects. Nothing major. My biggest complaint is with the quality of the products HP makes. The material used for laptops is always of very low quality and the inevitable bad customer service that you have to go through once your laptop eventually and inevitably starts to break down within the 2 year warranty. No matter the cause HP will try find a way to blame you. Luckily i live in a country where consumer protection is high so you can eventually win a case but it will take up to one year. One simple advice: Stay away from HP. Otherwise you'll regret buying garbage

I recently bought a computer from HP. The box arrived damaged, but it wasn't the shipper's fault, it was because HP didn't put ANY packing material in the inside box and it just got squashed. I tried to initiate an online return using their link... it was broken. I tried to chat with them... they never came online. I tried to call them ... it made me go through several menus before it told me they were closed. BUT... it didn't tell me their support hours. Finally, since the day I ordered this, I have been bombarded with spam from HP. I tried unsubscribing, but I still get them. All in all, a pretty p*ss poor experience. Still trying to just return the stupid thing. I will never buy another product from them. They are just not top tier. ------------ UPDATE 2020-10-04 Attempted to leave an honest review on HP's website, but it was taken down. I got a generic email saying that "It didn't meet their guidelines" and that they "Hope to be able to publish my next review". So... I will post it here in it's entirety. I also had to prove my case to them (thank goodness I took pictures). Though I finally received my refund, it was a pathetic example of customer service from start to finish. Oh... did I mention they also put me on their email spam list so I now receive daily solicitations from them? I've tried using the unsubcribe option but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Based on this experience, I would never again buy an HP product. Why bother? Who cares if the product is great but the customer service and return options suck?

I seriously do not even know where to begin! we talked to a sales rep and told him exactly what we were looking for he was very optimistic and we thought we found exactly what we wanted. The keyboard monitor and mouse all came right away. It took six to seven weeks for the computer tower. After trying to hook up the tower with a cord that doesn't even plug in to it that came with the monitor the keyboard never worked. I did not do what we were told it was going to do. So we called and tried to get it fixed. Nobody cared gave us a run around never heard back from anyone. We tried to return it they gave us a run around about that too. Try charging us a 25% restocking fee because it was after 30 days which wasn't our fault because we never received the tower until 45 days after the monitor arrived. Then only attempted to send shipping labels for the computer tower and not for the monitor keyboard or mouse!!! I could go on and on...This place is an absolute joke!!!! NEVER will we deal with HP directly. We still haven't resolved our issues.

I bought an expensive HP Pavilion laptop in March. It keeps crashing with hardware errors. It has already been back for repairs twice and still crashes. Nobody at HP cares. Nobody replies to the phone or emails. I cannot get to speak to anybody except technical support in Romania! NEVER BUY AN HP LAPTOP!

The support department treat disabled customers like dirt! 5 months and they still haven’t repaired my computer. When I ring them I am just abused and lied to, when I use Facebook they just say someone is ringing me, I’m still waiting!!! They refuse to give me a phone number so that I can complain about the way I as a disabled customer has been treated!!

I have bought HP computers from the beginning of home computers. Nigel Webb was a family member for awhile (HP Security). Ordered my computer and noticed the option for the (2x2) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo was not applied. They sent a (1x1) Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo. I went and bought the right options on a new computer and then called to let them know the order form did not select what I needed on the original. Sorry, they said, your error. An unopened, unused, $1050.00 computer less than 2 days at my house and no return. After buying 2 computers, a gaming headset and 2 monitors this year, a printer in 2017 and 2 computers and a printer in 2007, 2 computers in the 1990's? I will not be back. Listed the one I don't need on eBay for a loss. Take your Business somewhere else.

Bought an HP Envy December 2019 and was fine until 6 months later when I open the laptop and the screen cracked in the bottom left hand corner - having now looked on the internet - this is a common fault and happens after it’s been used for 6-8 months. Contacted Curry’s ( don’t get me started) and finally HP - who say it is Customer induced damage. Be warned don’t actually open your laptop to use it as this is customer induced damage and falls outside the warranty - it’s a well documented fault but they will not accept responsibility

Let me start out by saying that HP Customer Service is Horrible! On Fri May 29 2020 10:19 AM I ordered a new HP Battery Model PK03XL for my 13-4103DX Laptop. The price including shipping was $141.50. The supposedly new battery arrived on Wednesday June 10, 2020. My complaint is the brand new battery that HP sent was approximately one hundred and fifty two days old on the day it arrived! I purchased a brand new battery not some old rubbish that was laying around their warehouse. Lithium Ion batteries degrade with age so if you need a fresh new battery you should purchase your HP Replacement battery some place else. I spent about an hour on the telephone waiting for support that never arrived. I called 800 474 6836 and 888 999 4747. I waited and waited and waited until I hung up in disgust. HP’s current senior management has really cheapened up their company. Support is based either in India or the Philippines neither of which speak English well enough to be of any help. HP’s exploitation of cheap untalented Asian labor has consequences. Personally I have caught them lying on several occasions and they can be exceedingly rude and difficult to deal with. Possibly this is the beginning of the end for HP
