Don't buy HP there is no support for Chromebook. Have spent 30 mins online with HP website trying to get an 800 number or a live agent or and email for some sort of support which all go to dead ends. Finally found a number after googling it. Took an hour on the phone to get a box to mail in for repair.

Beware of HP, Customer Service is rubbish! My husband bought me a HP Pavillion for Christmas 2018, since then I have had recurring issues with a very noisy fan (similar to a small plane taking off) and an overactive touchpad. I have had to send the laptop back to HP, while it was still under warranty, three times and they ‘repaired’ it. Following the 3rd occasion, after it had been ‘repaired’, I called to say the touchpad was still not working properly and they said there was nothing further then could do and sent me an external mouse. At Christmas this year, the fan started making airplane impressions again, and the laptop was not opening applications. It then stopped working completely and the touchpad appeared to be completely inactive. I carried out diagnostic tests, as suggested on HP Support, only to be told that, because the laptop was no longer under warranty, no further support was available. I called and spoke with HP Technical Team, who led me through the diagnostic tests again, which resulted in a diagnosis of touchpad failure. I asked HP if, considering this has been an ongoing issue since I had the laptop, if they could carry out repairs free of charge, they said no, it is not under warranty, so it will cost £410 to repair. I have since tried making a complaint about this, but the only contact details I was given was an address in Bracknell, which considering we are in ‘lockdown’, I imagine I will not receive a reply. All a great shame, as I was so happy when my husband gave me the laptop for Christmas.

I had to write a review about HP customer service, particularly their chat service, but also phone customer service and especially their technical service. I have always bought HP computers every time I've purchased a new computer. I currently have a customized HP Omen, which is known as stellar gaming computer. I use it, however, for my graphic design. But, HP chat has gone the extra mile in researching my issue, asking questions of their team members or supervisors to "get things done", assuring me that my problem is going to be resolved. They have listened and adjusted their policies based on my personal situations and reminded me of discounts or suggested offers to check out before a purchase. This has mostly been through their customer service using chat. If you are kind and appreciative to them, they are so helpful and effective. The technician I worked with to replace my computer gave me his personal office phone number, which is unheard of. He updated me about repairs, the timeline. And, they make great products, honor their warranties, have system/printer checks that are not annoying like many. Their computers have never failed me in problems with the performance of the machine. They have sales and discounts that truly actually bring the price to a competitive below market price. You can customize. When my cat tore off two of my keys on the keyboard, they Fedexed me a box to put the computer in and Fedexed it back to me the very next day. When I saw the rating (which could be numbers of reviews, etc.), I just had to tell about my great experiences with HP for years now. I would definitely recommend their products and can rave about their customer service.

HP customer service needs a complete overhaul. I’ve spent the past few days trying to contact them and have wasted well over five hours in the process. I started with their website, which directed me to email them as the only option for support. I emailed and received a response two days later telling me to use online chat. I went to online chat and waited an hour to connect with a rep, who almost immediately redirected me to call their customer support number. I called that number and waited on hold for over 2.5 hours (!!!) with no response. I reached out to HP via Twitter explaining my difficulty reaching customer service, and they directed me to the website again. After reminding them I’ve already tried that (and all of the other options), they directed me to call again. They are literally sending me in a loop when all I’m trying to do is exchange a laptop. This is something that is as simple as a click of a button with other retailers! HP requires that you contact them to get a RMA number for any return or exchange. If you buy anything from them, you better hope it is in pristine condition and you never have to contact customer support. Oh, and they require that you contact them within 10 days of receiving your product or you’re SOL. I think they’re purposely running out the clock. Stay away!

HP support is useless, they make it an obstacle course just to get on the phone with someone and god help you if you need parts because the HP parts department doesnt have a support line. My experience was being given the runarounf and getting transferred several times all to the wrong places. I'm sure at least half the people answering are outsourced in India somewhere, either way they aren't helpful at all. If you need HP support, good luck actually getting it.
