We had our system installed. They needed to apply for the Permit to Operate (PTO). They kept sending the wrong information and many corrections later we still don't have the PTO. Every correction delays the PTO by a month. They have an awful group of proyect managers who do not know what they are doing.

Project management has been abysmal. Long delays between various planning and scheduling steps, with no explanation - and usually the project manager was not aware of the problems until we told him/her (there were two different project managers during this time). They were not following up to see if plans were filed with local building offices, or following up to see when permits were ready or inspections scheduled or not.

Our Commissioning Technician II was Maleah. After the announced time needed for acquiring a "PERMIT TO OPERATE" (PTO) , The scheduled appointment was met on time. The service was prompt and took less time than anticipated. All questions were answered, information complete, and assistance with installing and using the SUNPOWER AP was helpful.

Sunpower cheating its customers I had the solar panels installed in August 2022. Prior to signing the sales contract, I was told that my roof was in ok condition. In March this year, the house has some leaks, 2 roofers came to give me estimate & said that my roof needs replacement, they asked "why wasn't it done before installing the solar panels ?" I called Sunpower, it escalated the case to someone & said have to charge me $1460 to remove & re-install. That's irresponsible work! I want to talk to higher up in company & he said he's the highest position in the dept, I shouldn't have to pay for that.... In comment , it said someone will contact me. It has been 3 days, I haven’t heard from anyone… I heard from someone, now they said the $1460 is for removal. For removal & reinstall is $3200. That's outrageous! Don't deal with this company if you don't want headaches! Update: so my panels were finally removed on 7/13/23 after waiting for about 1 month to get an appointment. The removal team was efficent! My roof is replaced since 7/27. I've called several times to Sunpower to get a re-install date. Today, Sunpower tells me "they're waiting for materials to arrive for the re-install". Don't you install system every day for other customers. What a lame excuse! I don't know how long I've to wait... Talked to a supervisor Andrix- he assures me that I'll be informed when the materials arrive...

From day one we have been extremely dissatisfied with SunPower. To start we had to argue to get a plan for the most efficient system. They did not want to use our best south facing roof adequately. They delayed the submitting of the plans for approval, they were not aware of what was needed to be submitted in our state for the permits/approval causing further delay. It took them 4 visits to install the system and once installed we could not follow how much the system was producing due to an error is configuring our monitoring app. After calling about a low production of energy by our system, come to find out 2 of our panels are NOT working. Had we not been on top of this, we would not have known. Where is the support? where is the competence to install a working system? I would not recommend SunPower to anyone. addendum: as the public can see, sunpower responded to the review quickly and even called and left a message about the review. Their response to the review was much faster than their response to any of our emails regarding the actual system.

Ryan, SunPower Technician, who was assigned to a site visit at our home to determine system issues, and subsequent replacement of several solar panels, was professional, friendly, quite knowledgeable, and provided a thorough explanation as to the energy consumption, production, and usage of our solar system!

Literally the worst customer service and product that I have had. First we didn't have our solar turned on in the period of time that they said they would then We had an individual come out on several months later to turn on our solar which was already delayed being turned on. During this visit we were informed that our solar would not be able to be turned on due to connection issues. We were told that the earliest that we would be able to be seen for this would be 2.5 months later if that. Meanwhile, SunPower is stealing this money that we should be saving. We were told that we would be receiving compensation for the cost of our electric because due to the fact that solar has not been turned on. Guess what several phone calls and being told that we would be called back and we still haven't received anything or any help. We are going to small claims court over all of the money they have stolen and the product that they didn't provide when we purchased it.

Got a hold of sun power over my homes solar panels and system. I had just recently moved in and was made aware that the systems were not responding. Called sun power and they sent a technician the very next day to take a look. Rudy the technician was very professional and on time. After troubleshooting some technical issues due to my outdated system, he was able to remove and replace my old monitor with a newer model. He installed it and made sure to double check everything, and made sure the panels were responding properly. Definitely a professional service and much appreciated work from the technician!!
