I have not had full solar production for 3 years. My true up to PGE is almost $11,000. I have made no power for a month and Sunpower will not send anyone out to do an assessment for 3 more weeks. Worst Solar Company Ever. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have had to have them come out in the last 3 years. Horrible system. Horrible Customer Service. Looking into Legal Representation.

It has been almost two months since a confirmed solar installation mishap caused a leak in my roof, and despite our efforts to seek a resolution, we have received only evasive responses and no concrete plans for addressing the issue. As a result, we are still waiting for a resolution to this ongoing problem. The recent rain caused more inconvenience and anxiety to us. We are hesitant referring to other family and extended family members and friends to Sunpower.

This is an email I recently sent to Sunpower because they have NOT even acknowledged my situation... Hello, I’m emailing you in regard to my case # 03250484 High winds in Palm Springs last month ripped 3 of my solar panels off my roof, caused roof damage and “luckily barely missed" hitting my car parked in driveway. I have an estimate from a roofing company and they are scheduling a date to come out and do the repairs. One of the panels ended up way out in the middle of the street and the other two landed in my yard destroying my cactus and other landscape. All 3 panels were completely destroyed. I have been in contact with HPE since the day it happened which was April 3, 2023. They came out immediately that day/night and checked all the other panels on roof to make sure they were securely bolted down. They also returned the following morning to followup up with me and take pictures. HPE has been very good about following up with me and they have been trying to get this resolved, but I have yet to hear from anyone at Sunpower. I was told that Sunpower has been trying to contact me but I have NOT received one phone call or email from Sunpower to date. I have picked up every single call coming into my cell phone hoping it was Sunpower calling, (even unidentified numbers) and I constantly check my email. I have continued to make my monthly lease payment to Sunpower, but I have been down 3 panels for a month now. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with Sunpower and would appreciate a response from you ASAP so that I can get this resolved. I will also create an entry on trustpilot.com in hopes of getting a response from you. I really don’t know what to do anymore at this point to reach a resolution. Thank you,

This is by far the worst company to deal with. I have had my panels for 10 years they caused several leaks on my roof and will not help with it. Shoty installation and poor customer service is very bad. Do not go with them. I have been trying to get my roof fixed for 2 years and it is still leaking. Customer service is the worst. Dealing with all foreign peoples policies. Is really bad. Really bad.

Today I have received three emails and six phonecalls from Sunpower claiming they were responding to an inquiry I made on their site. I work for a utility company and deal with Sunpower professionally, so I was very surprised -- I am a renter, and live in an apartment. I would never inquire about solar power for a residence I do not own. Not sure if this is simple harassment or an outright scam.

I bought a house, and had sent 3 times warranty transfer form to the company. No body from the company contacted me to verify anything or questions regarding the forms. The owner name still is not changed. I called the company to give me supervisor information, the person told me no any supervisor. The worst experience I had.

Thought I was getting the "premium product" with Sunpower in terms of technology and warranty/service, but I was completely conned. First they forgot to apply to SDG&E for the PTO causing a month delay in getting my system up and running (that month was a July with record highs and my highest ever power bill). After 6 months, 1 panel stopped reporting production data and "may" not have been producing--they couldn't tell me for sure. Customer service response times have been abysmal--ignoring multiple emails from me over a period of weeks, and not providing updates on timelines they promise once you get them on the phone. In their process of running "diagnostics" on the 1 panel, they caused all of my panels to stop reporting data. Now they want my credit card info before scheduling an onsite visit (by a sub-contractor), even though the sales process touted their great warranty coverage. It's been 2 months since the panel stopped reporting. Everything is compartmentalized allowing all of the customer service agents to make unhelpful excuses about how other teams are the ones doing the work or causing the problems. I have little confidence that my issue will get resolved and certainly we are well past it being resolved in a timely and satisfying manner. Even if/when it is resolved, I'm sure this won't be the last issue. I regret that I locked myself into a long-term relationship with this company and wish I had gone with one of the many, many cheaper options.

Technician Mike Leporati came out and activated the solar panels on our roof. Straight forward and efficient. Answered questions and followed up via email. Couldn’t ask for more.
