[2024-01-16: 1 Star] Project started September 2022, it is now Jan 2024 and still not complete. It took them over 1 year to begin instillation. I would email once per month with no response. Now that the system has been installed, it has been 3 months and has not yet passed inspection and I am beginning to make monthy payments. After a few more emails asking about the current status, I am at the point where I am getting no response. It is incredibly frustriating and stressful to work with this company. After seeing other reviews, I don't know how they can be a functional business with so many 1 star reviews. [2024-02-19: UPDATE - 3 Stars] The next day since my last revew (above), Sunpower escalated my case with new good folks within the company. They assigned me a new project manager, Ronin, who took the time to provide weekly updates... Ronin and the escalation team got my case passed city inspection by going straight to the city inspector manager and approved by my electrical company. My solar system is officially green. Half way through the month, I'm already seeing savings from my electric bill. I really wish I can give SunPower 5 stars. They're system is top notch. I did the research which showed their systems is the way to go. The app has been awesome. Knocked off 2 stars because the 1 year and 4 months I have been waiting, about 8 of those months without hearing from them was frustriating. All they had to do is keep me in the loop once every 2-3 weeks. After taking a 44k solar loan, I don't think that's too much ask for.

I am being generous with a three star, but they have been somewhat proactive when issues with performance. That said, when dealing with customer service the rating is ZERO. There was some communication then after 2 MONTHS, zip. When on SM they responded...blah blah blah, escalation blah blah blah and guess what STILL NO CONTACT OR RESOLUTION OVER 2 Months for a rather simple issue.

SunPower and their installation partner Leonard Roofing finally sent competent people to get our solar working after the installation was bungled several months ago. SunPower's Warren and Leonard Roofing's Stefan, Joe and the last electrician they sent (can't remember his name) deserve 5 stars on their own.

System installed in December 2022. Several leaks and one piece of equipment not working were all handled by installation coordinator efficiently. We were up and running and then I got an alert that one panel not communicating. I have to assume not producing but I’m not the expert and my wife was charged with handling it. After some emails back and forth she was told a credit card would be required before action could be taken which is a no for me since I have paid my monthly as agreed and purchased based on warranty. I just reviewed my panel analysis and note that alert date was 2/3/23 which I believe is easy for customer service to view. 4/18/23 and whilst it may seem trivial to some I am paying for a given # of panels and would like them all to be functioning as agreed. Any suggestions?

The service from Dago was excellent but the company itself is not. The reason this is not five stars is because of how long and annoying the process was to get our solar power to start working. Everything was installed and ready but it took this place 3 months to activate it. There was back and forth about providing serial numbers that took several days. The technicians are great but the company needs to do better.

Cannot get data through the app for my panels' solar production. It is an intermittent problem - hit or miss when I log into the system, I get a message "connecting data... it may take up to 1 hour for you to be able to access your site. Please try again in 1 hour" that does not change hour after hour. Without the data, I have no clue what the panels are doing and even if they are producing at all. Update - I have two sets of panels that were installed on two separate occasions. I was unable to get a consolidated view of my panels' output and needed two separate log-ins to view their energy production but it now seems that SunPower has combined the two sets, which is why one logon is no longer able to get data - at least this is what I presume is the case. I was not informed by SunPower but I've increased my rating because if this is the case, it's the right thing to do.

My recharge has been hanging for days now. I feel so bad about it 😭 My recharge has not reflected Please help me.
