This company is beyond incompetent, multiple requests for the same information both to myself and my referees to the point it could be considered harassment. A website that is virtually impossible to navigate to provide said information unless you are based in the USA. Add to that the inability to accept that I may have spent a number of years living abroad. As for trying to speak to an actual human being... forget it! If your prospective new employer tells you they use this company... Look for another job!!

Worsted experience ever STERLIN NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL

Sterling have been tasked by Airtasker to carry out an identity check to verify my identity by comparing a copy of my driving licence to verify that the details within the licence are the same as the details on my driving licence. The request was sent through to Starling on Thursday 13th June on 18th June I spoke to Airtasker who stated that they were still waiting for the identity check to be carried out. I spoke to someone from Sterling on the 18th June who stated that he could not tell me if the check had been carried out or if it was still in a queue because he was only allowed to give that information to Airtasker. This is a joke. Why can't such basic information which is not personal information it is purely to confirm if they have done the check or not be provided to me. The only thing he could advise is to confirm that the time scales for them normally completing an identity check is 12-15 working days but stated some times it can go over this time frame which also does not help in working out whether they would have done the check or not. The other concerning thing is he kept calling it a background check rather than an identity check. I have only agreed to an identity check which is comparison of a copy of my driving licence which I have supplied and not for my personal data to be used in any other way.

Their website is full of bugs/issues. Customer service do not properly address concerns, either because they have no fix or because they do not actually take the time to read the problem in the first place, so it just ends up going around in circles. Avoid working with this company and seek another provider.

I have been trying for over a week to help my husband by completing this background check. The fields are not accepting the dates of employment; keep getting error messages and the dates are correct. Also does not open field to put in name of each employer. We need help to get this done. I need someone to call us back . (804-901-1854) Jones

Awful awful company! Partner completed back ground check with Uber eats, it came back saying she had failed the right to work within the UK and N.I. she was born in this country has a British birth certificate which was uploaded and driving licence along with other documents. Uber say to contact sterling then sterling say contact uber. Complete joke! We only had her wage coming in as I am on maternity leave!

Unable to log in and complete background check, customer service team couldn’t help despite constant efforts by myself as well as my employer for a period of four weeks. Platform is quite inefficient and slow.

I couldn't login and got stuck in a login loop. Called for assistance. Couldn't resolve the issue. Submitted a ticket to IT. Issue still not resolved. I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a response now.
