CON ARTISTS
We were conned out of $400USD at Cancun airport (VINE GARDEN who are a heavily discounted reseller of Spacetouch products) by a very slick salesman who sold us two bottles of face cream we were told was $400MXN (PESOS) - he never mentioned USD and hid the credit card machine from my view. He then tried to sell us a Spacetouch heat light device for £5k USD which he said was usually al lot more (even showed us on the Spacetouch website) but eventually came down to $1200 after numerous times trying to leave for our flight. We eventually managed to get away from him but when I realised we’d been ‘had’ he had left the shop. Feel very ashamed to have been conned like this as would never have paid this for two bottles of skin cream. Shame on you salesman for conning people and shame on Spacetouch for allowing dealers to sell your products for less than 25% of what you charge people on your website!!

Thank you for such a detailed account, and I'm sorry this happened. To be clear on what we can speak to: the skin cream charge you describe isn't a Spacetouch product, so we can't address that part directly, but everything involving the device pitch — the pressure while you were trying to catch your flight, and a price that moved from $5k down to $1,200 — is very much something we take seriously. On your direct question, and it's a fair one: we don't have a good answer for why an authorized reseller would sell at a fraction of the website price, and we're not going to pretend that's normal or acceptable. A "list price" that can apparently drop by 75%+ under pressure isn't a real price, and that's a legitimate problem with how these locations are operating, not just an isolated bad interaction. We'd like to look into this specific location directly. Thank you for naming it and being this specific — it genuinely helps.
