Worst customer service! No issues with therapist but they never billed my insurance company, charged my credit card privately x3 sessions, then took my co pay plus got insurance money. They know they owe me $255 yet will not reimburse me. So they basically over billed me and got 2x the money. I never gave permission to pay more than my $10 copay but they took $85 each time x3. Then they also received the insurance money. They dont return emails and have horrible customer service! Stay clear of this company and what ever you do dont give them your credit card. They will keep taking money. They have no concept how to bill the insurance company or they just want to receive double. Horrible!

The therapist was great, however, the billing and customer support is horrible. I sent over a dozen emails with receipts of payments for over two weeks and I still continued to receive “past due” emails. I also called as many times as I sent emails and most times the recording advised that the office is close even during business hours or it prompts to select an option for a call back. Lol out of the many times that I requested a call back, I only received one on 4/4 (after calling on 3/29-3/31) when and at that time I was told that my account was cleared. Less then 24 hours later, I received another email that I owed and they continued, which disrupt my therapy sessions. So from 3/29 until today when I remained on hold for 54 mins before someone responded, is how long that I have been attempting to get this matter resolved. I advised that I wanted to disable my account and that they are not allowed to charge my card. I also sent them this via email along with the two receipts of payment (that is right, I have only had two sessions) to cease from billing me and using my card on file as I have paid for the two sessions. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. For a business that is suppose to be about healing, the billing and customer support will stress you out. Its not worth it so I found a new therapist outside of Sondermind.

Don't ever give them your credit card. Your better off dead. They don't care about any of their patients. It's a scam!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. They don’t care about your mental health, only money. I’ve been fighting charges since mid 2022 and it’s April 2023. They won’t send anything to my health insurance and charge your bank card without doing their job. I get emails and phone calls saying they will help them turn around and lie to you saying your insurance have denied the claim. When I talk to my health insurance representative they advise me they will pay their portion but they haven’t gotten any bills from them. My insurance is missing documents from Sondermind but they won’t produce them or send them to my insurance. My therapist is as amazing, but due to billing problems I’ve left them. They are rude, deceptive and disrespectful!! My mental health is out of control, and that doesn’t matter to them. Please seek treatment anywhere else!!!

I googled Sondemind online to make sure they were in network for my health insurance and they were. I confirmed this information with my insurance company. I then registered on Sondermind website to have a therapist assigned to me. I selected this insurance noted for my insurance company (they did not provide different tiers of my insurance to select from). I updated all my information (personal, insurance, copies front/back of my card) their system assigned a therapist to me. I did my first session on Friday 3-17-23 and the therapist tried to submit the claim via my insurance company but Sondermind's system grayed out her inputting the insurance information so she was not able to get the claim submitted for payment. I asked her to call Sondermind and she said she'd include me on the call Monday 3-20-23. They called me (Sondermind and therapist) the gentleman was very firm not friendly and stated I would be billed out of pocket so the therapist can be paid. I re-affirmed I selected insurance and the insurance information was updated and he stated correct. He said I should have selected my insurance with advantage and I told him that option was not there so I selected my insurance company. When updating the information via registration my insurance advantage information was put in and I should not be penalized because their system selected my therapist (she's in the network but not updated in advantage yet). He just said I'd be billed and my responsibility and he would see if could be write off but don't count on it. This to me is a look into the practices of this company, I should never have been penalized for this. I really wished I could have seen the many other problems with this company regarding their practices regarding billing.

Bill shock! This service is basically two things: browser video chat, and a payment processor. Video chat worked alright for my uses, but...it's just browser video chat, not rocket science. I see lots of content on the site about how much therapy will cost... $40-60 with insurance? My provider (a therapist, not a psychiatrist) was charging $250/hr, and many others are going to be in the same 150-200/hr range. I know for a fact that sondermind is charging these people ~20% in fees, and they're just going to pass that on. This is just the further corporatization of healthcare and yet another middleman who wants to make the thing more expensive for the user. Find someone who will do a zoom call with you, and pay out of pocket if need be - it'll still be cheaper.

Awful company with some shady business practices. Therapist was not ethical.

Do not recommend - billing is out of control. Counselors are very WOKE which makes it impossible to work on the marriage issues. They charge what they want.
