Everything we wanted. We have this gate for upstairs and bought an extra set of brackets for downstairs. We can easily detach the retract-a-gate and switch from upstairs and downstairs as needed. Also not loud when to retract it which is good because our daughters room is next to the stairway. Highly recommend!

We needed a gate that had the capacity to close off two adjacent doorways. With an extra set of hardware this retractable gate does just that: providing a barrier to the dog’s area, or to the whole mud room, or none at all when our son has gone to bed for the night. This retracting feature works well and we like the slim design. Overall very satisfied with the product!
