Love the convenience of the packaging. Cats beg me all day for more!! Even my picky eater who has digestive issues will eat her bowl clean! Im sooooo glad I took the chance to try smalls! Will never change food again!

Thank you so much for the review! We are thrilled to hear that your "picky eater" has officially joined the Clean Bowl Club. It’s quite common for cats with digestive issues to thrive on Smalls; by cutting out the fillers and gums found in traditional food, their systems don't have to work as hard to process their meals. We are so glad you took the chance on us—we promise to keep that high-quality food coming so you never have to worry about the "food hunt" again.

Thank you so much for the review! We are doing a happy dance over here knowing your kitty is officially a member of the "Clean Bowl Club." It makes us so happy to know that he’s not only getting high-quality nutrition but truly enjoying every single bite. Give that lucky guy a scratch behind the ears for us.

I tried all of the suggestions to get him to eat it and he simply wouldn’t. Donated the food to charity.

Thank you for your honest review. I am so sorry to hear that despite trying all the tricks in the book, your kitty just wouldn't budge! Every cat is an individual, and sometimes they simply have a firm preference that even the best nutrition can’t overcome. We appreciate the effort you put into the transition. Most of all, thank you for donating the remaining food to charity. It means a lot to us that those high-quality meals will go to cats in need rather than going to waste. We wish you and your cat the very best in finding a food that makes him happy!

Something with the order went terribly wrong and I received 3 orders in 1 month. I just wanted to give smalls a try. Now my cats don’t like the products and I still have way too much in my freezer. Canceling the subscription was easy but now I have the issue of what to do with all the meals the cats refuse to eat. I guess all the farel cats in the neighborhood will get lucky.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are sorry for the "order overload" you experienced. Feeding the neighborhood ferals is a kind gesture! Typically, if any sort of delay impacts your order in transit, our warehouse is informed to send out a complimentary replacement to be proactive, and it appears that was the case after taking a look at your account with us. Because our food is high-protein and human-grade, those outdoor kitties will be getting a very nutritious boost. Alternatively, local animal shelters are often grateful for fresh food donations if you'd prefer to drop them off there. We truly apologize for the rocky start and the mix-up. We appreciate you giving us a shot.

We are so pleased with Smalls cat food. Our cat Olivia loves the variety and we love the fact that she is getting the best cat food in the market. No fillers and high protein has given our fur baby the healthy start in life she needs and will continue through her adult years. We love the ease of ordering and the timely manner of the delivery. We highly recommend Smalls cat food.

Thank you so much for the review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Olivia is loving her variety of recipes. By removing the "fillers" and focusing on high-quality animal protein, we can provide the biological nutrition cats were evolved to eat. It’s so rewarding to know that this healthy start is giving you peace of mind as she grows into her adult years. We’re also so glad to hear that the process has been seamless for you! We’ll keep working hard to make sure Olivia’s meals stay on time and top-quality. Thank you for being such a great advocate for fresh cat food.

One star is too much for this crappy cat food! I have three cats and none of them would eat this junk!

We're so sorry to hear that Smalls wasn't a hit with your trio! It is always a letdown when you’re excited to try something new, and your cats give it a unanimous "no thanks." Rest assured, our recipes are the opposite of junk—we use human-grade, high-protein ingredients without the fillers, gums, or byproducts found in many traditional brands. However, because we don't use the artificial flavor enhancers, it can sometimes be a tough transition for cats used to those flavors. We appreciate you giving us a try, even if it wasn't the right fit for your home.

I didn’t dislike anything - it’s just my picky cat who would only eat half of it - what to do???
Response from SmallsJan 6, 2026
Thank you for the review! We understand the "picky eater" struggle—cats are notoriously suspicious of change, even when it’s healthy. Cats get used to what they’re eating, especially if it’s high in carbs and fillers, and can grow to prefer it. Kind of like us craving fast food over a home-cooked meal. We recommend mixing in their old food with Smalls, serving it warm to bring out all the meaty aromas, and adding toppers or enticers to pique their curiosity. It might take a little time, but the long-term health benefits are well worth it. We break it all down in this blog post, and of course, we’re always here if you want more tips: https://www.smalls.com/blog/post/is-my-cat-a-picky-eater
