It took my cat a little time but he loves his Smalls. So does the dog, unfortunately. I wish they still sold their kibble, but I like having the fresh and freeze dried as options. I ordered back when they first started in 2019 and came back this year (2022). I also wish I could send back the box and packing materials to be reused like other petfood brands. I also love their branding and the website is really easy to use.

Smalls is GREAT! They send me food every month on a regular basis, no overcharging, and my kitten (now cat) LOVES it, especially with the Bird Broth. With your first package they send instructions on how to introduce Smalls to your cat but my kitten ate it RIGHT AWAY and enjoyed it much more than her canned food. Additionally, if their tips on introduction don't work, I found that mixing in broth and microwaving the food for ~10-15 seconds will make the food far more appetizing for your little one! The only thing I would change is the packaging, I wish the 50cal. markings went across the entire package of food rather than over 1/2 of it. Additionally, for those who want individually packaged meals for your cat, this may not be the product for you. I personally cut 2 packages of food (1 for breakfast, 1 for dinner) while it's semi-frozen and then package in tupperware. This makes it so that I have about a week and a half of food pre-cut.

I was enthralled with the philosophy behind Small’s foods for cats, they have an impressive website and though highly expensive, I was eager to love my relationship with them. But when my trial package arrived, I was overwhelmed as I received no instructions and had not a clue how to use the many little frozen packages nor what to do with the dry ice which was completely foreign to me. On the website they bragged about their eco friendly packaging but there were no instructions on how to deal with their super duper state of the art eco packaging only several frightening warnings about the dry ice. I cried out for help via the text number I had to research to find as well as email. In spite of the fact that Smalls is highly expensive, THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS THEM BY PHONE. They protect themselves from taking receiving any calls. You cannot just order what you want say just just their of kibble for example, you must order their frozen raw animal foods to receive the kibble. If you are confused and need help or clarification, you can ONLY text or email and even then response is exceptionally slow and tedious. I am vastly frustrated and disappointed with Smalls. Had I received a phone call to help me, I would not have taken the time or care to write this review. I received my package on Thursday, it’s Saturday. After sending a text with all caps…”HELP” they didn’t care enough to respond.

Marigold and I love smalls! Customer service is 10/10. I was hesitant to reorder because I got the sample pack and my cat like some things but not others. Once I talked to a rep we got it all squared away and now she is a smalls fiend!!! Smooth cow is her favorite. Thanks for the great customer service and quality food! You’ve got us hooked! I recommend y’all to everyone I know with a cat!

Two words, bloody hell. Best cat food ever! My cat is a pure bred Maine Coon. He has tried almost all brands from A to Z, from wet food (canned), raw, freeze dried, toppers, broth. And all of them give him problems where he is constantly passing gas, poop is smelly and wet consistency and some gave him coughs which is not good. The moment I switched to Smalls(smooth bird, ground bird) instantly, poop is solid, the smell was reduced to a minimum and he stopped passing gas. I switch him cold turkey (your not suppose to do that, don’t recommend, I did it just cause I happen to run out of food with high moisture and it was at night) it took him a couple days to completely finish his food but now boy, I am in love. Anyways, the amount of nutrients on Smalls is great, 85mg per kcal of taurine (very important for cat’s heart), high quality protein and more. Love. People complain about the peas, yada yada. It’s in such small quantities that it’s pretty much non-existent. I can go on with more facts but 100% recommend. Initially was hesitant with the 1 star reviews but if you look closely, it’s mostly third party problems, delivery late, missing items (bad customer service). Mine came with a missing item for my first box which sucks. I emailed, and they are currently resolving it. (Cross me fingers) Setting aside customer service, delivery, etc.. food quality which is the most important factor, (if you think otherwise, you must be crazy) Damn yes! 100% yes! Get it now. I love that this product exists! My cat has a lot of food allergies and sensitivities, so I've always tried to give her a high quality, high protein diet. Just learned about Smalls a couple months ago, and wanted to upgrade from canned food. Love the shipping service, love dissolving the packing material in the sink--stinking cool, and the cat loves the food. I'm hoping this will help her with weight regulation, since it's much lower carb than her canned food was. So far, so great!

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is so expensive and because one of my cats devours it and the other is taking her own sweet time switching over (but this is really not Smalls' fault). I was shocked at how easily my old finicky cat fell in love with Smalls because she is a constant pain in the butt about liking a certain food and then all of a sudden hating that food. She did start turning her nose up at the chicken flavor so I removed that from future orders and all is well again with her. She is 16 years old and has a long history of inflammatory gut issues so I was nervous to give her a high-protein diet, but it has been an easy transition with no issues thus far and we are several months in. She acts like a young cat again and is strangely even more loveable than before when she was on her "high quality" dry kibble and Friskies canned cat food. My young kitty must have her Friskies mixed into her Smalls in order to eat it, but at least she is making the transition because at first if she so much as smelled or sensed Smalls was in her bowl she would walk away in disgust. I can't wait for the day she makes the full transition to Smalls. I also provide them with free-feeding bowls of Ziwi Air Dried food to address their continued love of drier kibble as well as the Smalls. I really wish Smalls was more affordable though because I feed my dog an expensive raw diet so I spend more money feeding my pets than I do feeding myself!

My kitten absolutely loves Smalls! I did a lot of research and found this was the best option for nutrition and convenience. I couldn’t be happier with my choice, and Indigo agrees!
