I, the human, LOVE having the food delivered. One of the two felines is elderly and in her former home only ate dry food- she was losing weight and not doing well at all. She has been here for 3 weeks and transitioned to Smalls with no issues. She is gaining weight and becoming playful again ( significant for a 13 year old lady). I think it is a bonus that packaging is mostly recyclable. My only slight issue is the packages are a little difficult to open with arthritic fingers. We, the felines, LOVE the wet food. The variety is good, we both like bird and other bird. One of us likes the cow. (The other is hoping our human tries the fish again to see if I like it.)

My cats LOVE this food. I’ve been ordering it for just one of them who has a really severe poultry allergy and seems to have some other mysterious food sensitivities — this is the first food that she’s been on that hasn’t involved truly nightmarish litterbox smells. The only problem we’ve had is that our other cat also LOVES this food and desperately wants to steal it. They are also both huge fans of jumping around in the box the food ships in. Delivery has been speedy and timely, very pleased so far.

I will sing their praises any day! When I received my first order, within a couple days they were calling to ask how my cat liked the food. They called because they cared, not because they wanted me to buy more. Then, I received an email about a refund because their was an issue with the production of the pulled food I ordered. It wasn’t to their standard and it was made with a different texture. I would have never known the difference but they did. They made a lifetime customer out of me!

I originally wrote a review many months ago, when my cats were enthusiastic about the food and the service was prompt and courteous. That Smalls is no longer the case. Along with the packaging change that happened over the last month or so, the recipes undoubtedly changed, too. I feel that the company is gaslighting me when they insist, breathlessly, that the recipes haven't changed, but my cats will no longer touch the stuff. The "pulled" food is no longer in thick, discernible shreds, but is essentially a mince or a ground texture. And the smell went from smelling like a human-made meal, made for humans, to smelling like every other commercial cat food on the market. This food is ungodly expensive -- and I was willing to shell out that money when I felt confident I was giving my cats high-quality, species-appropriate food. I am no longer convinced that's the case. Somewhere along the way, the customer service dropped off too; whereas I used to get a response to a text or an email within a couple of days (since they have no phone number you can actually call), I am now left waiting, worryingly, for sometimes a week or more. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't get the wrong food with my order (we got Ground Cow when we certainly did not order that, for example), or if our cats weren't essentially without food (as I've mentioned, they will no longer eat more than a couple of bites before declaring it unpalatable and walking away). My household has started looking into Cat Person or Darwin's (Darwin's has a pretty sordid history with the FDA, and some suspect handling concerns)... anything, really, other than Smalls. It's such a shame that a trailblazer in the industry has fallen off a cliff so dramatically -- and left many households with a residually poor taste in their mouths and a freezer full of food that looks, feels, and smells vile, to our human sensibilities as well as our cats'.

I have been absolutely impressed by the quality and benefits of this fresh cat food! The packaging is fantastic from the box with dry ice to the peel open food packs! My cat has loved chicken recipes and has lost 3 pounds since starting on it a few months ago and has been so much more of her happy playful self! The only reason I couldn’t give all 5 stars is just that my order has been incorrect, my trial order was late due to warehouse issues, and it’s really quite expensive though it’s worth it! The communications or customer service team does a pretty good job of fixing issues though it can take a little time for them to respond! My biggest thing on that is that they always make it up to you by including a discount or refund into your account so that really helps! They also include free treats with the subscription and my cat has really liked the treats we got which also have some catnip too so she’s ready to play after a good treat! Overall smalls has been absolutely worth it after seeing my kitty fall in love with the food and reap some really good health benefits from it so I would absolutely recommend it!

I am so happy with this company!! My picky cats LOVE this food, we have no waste, and transition was a breeze. Customer service has been fantastic, I love the texting format. If there is a down side, it is that both kitties are constantly asking for more food all day because the like it so much! A great thing to see after all this time of coaxing them to eat their previous raw diet. Thank you Smalls! Happy kitties, happy mommy.

My tuxedo cat would not eat competing wet products, and I was skeptical she would enjoy SMALLS. She had eaten kibble for four years before I received her as a pet. She transitioned from kibble to SMALLS in the first meal!

My cat is old and has IBS. Smalls is one of the few foods that doesn't aggravate her belly and she likes to eat. I've tried so many types of cat food! She seems to process Smalls smoothly. The litter box is a happier place for both of us when she is on Smalls!
