SmallsReviews of smalls.com

My cats love this food! Hope to try more flavors soon.

We have been slow cooking for our pets dog love this but our cat is more particular. After hearing this brand reviewed by a couple of the podcasters I respect, we gave Smalls a try w the sample order. SHE LOVES this pate to the point of licking her bowl vompletely clean. Our dog used to go and tidy it up- haha. Anyway, I had a glitch in delivery, no faiult of Smalls- and they were so very helpful as the food is perishable. Our little elderly catgirl is so content and we know we are giving her the best!!! Thank you Smalls! Dont know if they read these but it truly is good customer service for a great product when it is costly but helps her live a good life!! We just watch what we buy being empty nesters gives us a little window to spoil her.

This company just charged my account 150$ a week after joining! It feels like a let’s get as much money from a customer as we can upfront type of business! Shipping out and charging you almost 200$ a week after you subscribe to their service… shame on them ! Edit - here we are 2 weeks later and I have a freezer full of cat food that my cat won’t even eat. Over 100$ wasted! My problem is you do not give your customers enough time to decide if this food is the right flavor etc. I would have gladly went onto the website to modify my order but I was charged so fast for my first shipment that I couldn’t. You ship out the starter pack which is more than enough food to last some cats a month + there’s no time to really tell if your cat is adjusting to the food which mine did not! All of sudden BAM - 152.00 taken out of your bank account. Also, I did go onto the website and modify my order because my cat wasn’t eating it and they still sent a huge box disregarding the fact that I opted in for way less. Unfortunately this brand did disappoint me and regardless what their respond says 1) the next shipment is shipped out way too soon 2) I’ve got a freezer full of expensive cat food that my cat won’t even eat. Give your customers a little more time than a week to see how their cat is adjusting.

Deliveries are easy to manage and reschedule as needed. Food is available in many varieties and each delivery can be customized. My cats shed less, their fur feels so silky, and my big boi cat is looking a bit slimmer with more energy too after incorporating SMALLS into their diet.

Purchased a sample package and it was incorrect and missing things. I have emailed several times, text them as they instruct and no one bothers to contact me back. I even wrote them on all their social media and nothing. I will have to contact my CC company and back charge them. Hard to believe they cannot even send a simple message to help me as a first time customer. Terrible.

I had been with smalls for almost a few years. Yet, I decided to cancel over the total inability to get a response. When I first started with smalls, they had people call me to see how I was doing. But now, I’m sure they don’t put any money in customer service and that is most definitely where they are failing. I’m in school and lost track of my subscription, and I was charged. I sent them a text (as they ONLY allow text and email, red flag in itself) and 4 hours later, I haven’t even gotten a text saying they’re behind on responses. $123 gutted out of me for not even half decent customer service. I’m in school as well, so this left me with $11 in my bank account. I’m absolutely stressing out even more, and this has been a massive trigger to my anxiety. I also put in a request in my bank to block any further charges from Smalls as apparently that has been happening to others. I recommend anyone else do the same. Despite being out $120 a week before pay day, this is honestly a blessing in disguise. Because ever since they changed their recipe a year and a half ago, my cat has been puking his guts out intermittently. It could be the supplements in the food. I have no clue… either way… AVOID SMALLS AT ALL COSTS.

UPDATE: YES! Customer service from Smalls got in touch with us directly, and also did refund us for the missing items. They are currently experiencing the growing pains of a new company. Our most recent order was correct. So, with that, and because our extremely finicky cat loves their food (and has thus far refused any other wet food) we have decided to stick with them for now. ******************************************* Can't get in touch with them at all. They shorted us on this most recent order, missing 5 packets of food. We've tried their email, the phone number they have supposedly for texts, and we have not heard a single response. Social media response is also lacking and apparently we are not the only ones experiencing a communication blackout from Smalls.

The food seems decent enough, my cat enjoyed eating it at the very least. What soured my experience is their customer service department. I was notified of an upcoming order, but my address was incorrect. Apparently the order notification is sent after the order is processed however and they didn't make the address change, and my order was sent to an address on the other side of the city. The new tenants that I spoke to (awkward to say the least) at the previous address had thrown away my order, and their customer service team (Amy was the representative I spoke to) was completely unsympathetic, and were completely unwilling to process a refund or even re-ship my order to the correct address. To say that I'm unwilling to continue giving my business to an entity that has literally stolen $100 from me is an understatement. Your cats should enjoy the food, but hope that you never have to deal with their severely outdated customer service policies! Edit: After some more back and forth, the company decided to do the right thing and re-shipped my order to the correct address at no cost. I'm only bumping my review and star however, as it should not have taken the effort I had to expend for them to correct a mistake that lies solely on their end.
