The website is easy to use and straightforward. It's a bit pricier but they offer a lot of options and extras you might need for your kitties. It all adds up, in the end. I like that they give me the option of cooked cat food especially with the avian flu going around. Raw food isn't an option right now. Quality food for my cats means less visits to the vet.

Terrible customer service. My cat kept throwing up from one version of the food and when I contacted them, I asked them to replace the food. The rep Michaela initially wouldn't do anything and gave me a hard time. I wasn't seeking a refund or to cancel, I just wanted a partial replacement. But they refused. The company gave me the runaround to the point of me having to cancel. They did eventually issue a partial refund, but the damage was done. The employees at Smalls don't care about their customers

Our Cat has reduced the amount of times he vomits a week. He still does but not as much as before smalls. We may be getting a kibble from here as well.

I want a refund and they havent honored one. My cats would not eat this. Also the bird one was advertised that it had turkey but it also has chicken ingredients in it which my cat Pumpkin is allergic to. The whole reason i got it was for him due to his food allergies. Hes allergic to beef, tuna, and chicken. He can only have turkey, duck, venison, salmon. bison. Or limited ingredient dry food. I used all the tips offered to get them to eat it and they wouldn't. They even tried to get me to buy additive flavors to sprinkle on their food from a store. If i have to buy other stuff to put on their food to make my cats like it then what is the whole point? I took a survey weeks after and they didnt honor a refund then when I expressed all of these issues. They are easy to contact until you request a refund and then they go quiet. Ive had to report them to the bbb and my local attorney General. They also had a recall in 2019 because their food was contaminated and killed cats. Contacted them again today when their survey team contacted me acknowledging my survey response but not that I sought a refund.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how stressful it can be when you’re trying to find a food that works for a cat with allergies. To clarify, our Other Bird recipe is made with turkey as the only protein. It does not contain chicken. We’re transparent about all of our ingredients, and we know how important that is when managing food allergies. When you reached out, our team did offer guidance on transitioning your cats to the food, including some tips and ideas that can help ease them into something new. One of the products we offer for this very reason is our broth, which acts as an enticer while also adding extra moisture. Our team issued a refund to your original form of payment on 3/31, and our system shows the funds were made available on 4/1. We've provided you with the Acquirer Reference Number in our response to your BBB complaint, and we would recommend reaching out to your bank directly with that number to help trace the funds. Lastly, we do want to gently clarify that we have had two voluntary recalls. The first was a voluntary recall in March 2019, which included certain packages of "Diamond Dust" chicken liver powder. After performing the routine testing of the product received from our supplier, we found inconsistencies in protein content. We have since discontinued this product, and no longer work with this supplier for any item currently in the Smalls lineup. Our second recall was a voluntary recall that took place in June 2021, which impacted a specific set of recipes made at one of our prior kitchens. Based on customer reports, we discovered refrigeration issues in the kitchen that produced these batches. Compounded by the fact that there are no preservatives in Smalls fresh recipes, the product spoiled after passing our routine batch testing, but before being shipped out to customers. This resulted in some batches arriving to customers with a spoiled smell and a green tint. We have since ceased manufacturing recipes with this kitchen. We want to reassure you that, to the best of our knowledge, no serious illnesses or fatalities were reported.
