Dear Mary, Our sincerest apologies for the difficulty you experienced! Many different variables can alter exactly how long the battery life will last. For example if you are listening to the product on the highest volume, you will only receive closer to 6-7 hours of playback. We highly suggest listening to the product at a medium volume level as a high level could cause hearing damage if used for several hours. We have also found that certain apps cause the Bluetooth® module to have a shorter battery life. Apps such as Spotify or YouTube stream music, which will drain the battery faster than an app which downloads the music / tones directly to your device. Listening to music preloaded on your device will give you the 10 hour battery life. Please know we offer a one year limited warranty on all of our products and would be more than happy to replace any components for you. If you could please fill out the warranty form found on our site and send it in with the components and receipt from whatever retailer you used for the purchase, we will send you new components to insert into your headband!
