Painful
This was the most painful facial I've ever had - and I'm not just referring to the neverending sales pitches to upsell before, during and after my procedure. There was one point where a stomped my leg on the table from the pain. Four days later there were still red marks and soreness on my face. I've had dozens of facials in the past, but never one as awful as this place.

Need better customer service
Once you are in the hands of the specialist you get the service you deserve. But before that, you have to deal with extremely immature and unprofessional front staff. They sound like mean middle school girls, no please, no thank you. Extremely rude and condescending.

Wouldn't go anywhere else
Ulyana was absolutely amazing, she saved my skin from a total meltdown. Not only was the facial perfect, but she gave me the advice and tools to help me maintain, until my next appointment.

Always great
I have been to multiple locations and thus have always had different aestheticians. They are always helpful and as gentle as possible. I have had facials done with other companies that are very painful and have resulted in further breakouts and ruptured blood vessels. Never here. Also, everyone at Skin Spa is patient, never pushy with sales, and has never made me feel bad about not caring for my skin properly like other places have. The facilities are also always very clean and have a peaceful ambiance.

Excellent massage service
I bought a Groupon deep tissue 3 pack. And I was pleasantly surprised. Frances was my designated masseur. She was thorough, highly trained, courteous, a good listener and very attentive to my needs. It was one of the better massages I've had. And I must add that the Skin Spa salon at 353 E 40th street is very clean, quiet, and well- maintained. I even recommended several friends living nearby, since we all love our weekly massage!
