I had a great experience

Had scheduled a massage with a female masseuse and was switched to a male with-out notification. Was slightly uncomfortable but not a bad overall experience.

Skin Spa provides reasonably priced spa treatment packages relative to higher end spas and/or doctor/dermatology offices. Experience could vary depending on the esthetician you get. Given the more reasonable price points, it will feel like a factory churning through customers, vs. more attentive service.

I went to the flatiron location, and have been going to skin spa's throughout the city in preparation for my upcoming wedding to hopefully have radiant skin. On my checkout I was swindled into purchasing a package. Leaving the room i was about 75% sure I wanted to purchase the package, but wanted to sleep on it. When i was checking out the girl told me she would give me a deal if i bought the package that day as prices had changed but she could honor them for me if i bought it then. I should've realized it was a scam at that point, but i bought it thinking i was getting a deal. After leaving i went online to read a bit more and realized there was NO PRICE CHANGE! What was offered to me as a "deal" was exact same prices that were on the website. I was so frustrated that i tried to get a refund for the package, but they wouldn't allow it. Needless to say I WILL NOT COME BACK after i use my package up. Such a scam, and i feel that as a customer i deserve better than that.

I bought a Brazilian wax package here a while ago and am on my second visit. Great location. Quick, professional and satisfying results. I will certainly look into their other services.

I visited Skin Spa at the 40th and Lexington Avenue location last weekend and it was a pleasurable experience. The receptionist and manager at the front desk were exceptionally pleasant and made me feel welcome as soon as i entered the Spa. I received the Microbuff Polish which was very nice and the 20 minute massage. I didn't get that amazing feeling after my massage but I think it was partly bc i didn't voice my concerns which is very important. I also received the customized facial which i absolutely loved. The facial steamer is so relaxing. The extraction can be somewhat painful but it was definitely worth it. I definitely recommend Skin Spa and will be going back soon.

I was quoted a higher price than your website by the Midtown front desk man. He limited options even when the website offered them. I could not use funds I had. The experience was about upsells which impacted my trust. The 30 minutes Brazilian laser was less than 5 minutes and did not cover all areas. That was my 6th session. I was told I needed to buy a new package. I had to call your corporate office to help me. Which they did. A nice lady named Amanda took the time to look at my profile to notate the services I have left.

I went in for a glycolic acid peel. For a few days following the peel my skin flaked a lot and I had some bruising which didn't hurt but was uncomfortable. I had to use aloe lotion all over my face. But here is the best part: After patiently waiting for results, a few days after the peel my skin had visibly reduced signs of scars and blemishes and my complexion visibly looked more even. Black heads were extracted and open pores visibly reduced. I didn't even have to use foundation for a few days. If you don't mind the initial reaction, then this is well worth doing.
