So I have tested this camera out on several nights one with full moon another with a half moon and the another night with clouds but a partial moon. I have to say the full moon night I could see well enough to see out 600 to 800 feet clear enough to see if anything was moving on the other side of the pond on my property with out the need of extra light, on the other nights with the help of the solar motion lights I put over there I could see the path next to the pond well enough. Looking forward to the illuminator and mount to arrive.

If you want a great full color night vision camera for your gun or as a hobbyist - I highly recommend this product BUT if you are a PI, Security Specialist, Law Enforcement of any kind or similar professional PLEASE CONSIDER YOUR OPTIONS. Sionyx makes claims that it offers a date/time stamp. This is misleading. Sionyx actually has a one time non-visible date and time creation stamp embedded in its hidden metadata. NOT A VISIBLE OR CONTINUOUS OVERLAY OF THE DATE/TIME. Therefore, if you just want see better at night - it works. BUT if you need to create court friendly evidence by video documenting at night - prepare to have your butt handed to you in court. Easy to manipulate the record that is hard to show. Easy to edit the evidence without proof of tampering. Easy to get your evidence thrown out of court. Sadly, Sionyx customer service is terrible and unsympathetic stating only that they "have no plans" to correct or improve this issue. As a result, a 5 star product earns my 2 star review because the company continues to market itself to law enforcement types knowing that it isn't providing what the industry requires. That being said, if I can find a work around to make the videos taken court-ready, I would buy more of their units. But as it stands - it's a pretty toy - not a game changer.

works as advertised. I am trying to figure out how to manipulate it now. have not found a way to mount it to my rifle in a way that works for me. My LPVO on my coyote gun may not be the right combination.

A great product but I would like to see better directions in the app and a different type of battery access.
