I despise Simon Med. EVERY TIME I try them I can never get a procedure scheduled. This time it was for a CT Scan. Called 3 times, each call lasting 30 minutes. They take all my information then tell me it hasn't been approved. FINALLY I get someone to confirm it has been approved by my insurance and schedule it. For the next 5 days I am blasted with auto calls and texts telling me I haven't scheduled yet - 11x per day...I counted. SO I show up this morning and am told that it was not approved and I could self pay! &$^*!! Nope, never will I go to Simon Med again. The level of incompetence is staggering.

I really did not want to give themn1 star I wish there a no star. That is how I rate them. It was an insane experience. I was called 5 times and was told they did not have my insurance info. My Dr's ofc said they did they it to them. They continued to call me eventhough the dr ofc called and gave insurance again and asked to stop calling me they continued. I had an appointment and they called to confirm and to remind me to bring $50 copay. I do not have co-pays and told them. I called my insurance and confirmed a no copay. My insurance rep called them and went over everything and when it came down to it they were asking for $50 over and beyond the insurance plan of nocopay agreement. They agreed to be in their network and accept the total care plan. They were in the wrong to ask for rhe ,$50. That means they are out of agreement with the insurance Co and the plan. I canceled the apt and got another imaging co. They are under investigation by insurance Co and by the Texas state dept of insurance. Wonder how many other people they charged and got away with it

What went wrong? Just about everything. When I called to schedule an MRI of my spine and an arthrogram for my hip the woman on the phone scheduled it and told me it would only take an hour. I questioned since an arthrogram involves a shot but she said nope it will just take an hour. I sent the order over via text as requested. Two days before the MRI I received notification that my appointment was canceled because they didn’t have approval for my insurance. I called and said yes you do because my doctor got that approval. They then told me oh sorry the problem is that we never received the order with the arthrogram and I said yes you did I texted it to you as you asked and it says arthrogram on there. She proceeded to tell me it did not and I said yes it does and showed them. She went to schedule the appointment for me and she said oh our facility doesn’t handle the arthrogram at all. I said fine cancel I will go to another facility. Then today I received a notification that my appointment had been rescheduled with them. I called to cancel.

I have TRIED to use Simonmed for years but they've gotten so bad that I use University Diagnostic Imaging (UDI) when possible.. My experience with Simonmed today is indicative of NUMEROUS issues over 10 years.. I scheduled my appointment and thru messaging, calls and emails they confirmed my scan, UNTIL I was 10 minutes away when they call to say they didn't get my ins.. approved.. So the process will begin anew.. MANY times I've showed for scans only to be told the machine is down and they send mmeto another location or reschedule.. On one occasion, they rescheduled for 2 weeks out and when I arrived they were going to make me pay for both, until I spoke to the office manager.. This company is a clown show run by idiots in clown suits.. It's continuis issues with schedules, equipment or mis management.. Not a few times, but many times.. They don't deserve the business from me or my insurance so I'm going to ask my dr.. to refer me back to UDI.

My MRI was done on 4/30 at the Torrance location. I was within walking distance of where I live. I did not walk. I arrived earlier than the scheduled appointment. The lady asked me if I could be seen earlier, and if I would be interested. I replied yes. From the initial contact to making the appointment, everyone was professional. I have found it hard to make appointments with a few of my doctors. Before the MRI, the technician was professional, warm, and friendly. He easily answered my questions. After a few days, I began to call the doctor who ordered the MRI. I left multiple messages with no return calls. I did receive a call one day a few moments before closing. My message to this doctor’s office was that I wanted the results of the MRI and that I would not be available that day, and I still got a call. I waited a few days, then I called SimonMed Imaging support. It was a good call. I spoke with Paul L. He was warm, caring, and professional. I identified myself as a patient. I told him I was very old. He made a pleasant comment that made me smile. I told him the purpose of my call was to request a copy of the results. I have copies of my health records from 1979, when I was 29. After Paul verified who I was, he asked me to hold while he located the file. It took a few moments, but I did not care because I believed he was helping me. Paul L. emailed the report to me. Paul wanted to wait while I opened it, but I told him I would be able to figure it out. I was so pleased with how Paul L helped me. I answered the follow-up question: Would I hire this individual? I said 10. (That means yes.) I don’t think that “10” was enough. Paul L deserves a real SHOUT OUT.

Location on 46th street and Ray rd in phoenix. Front desk super rude and unprofessional. She made a comment of my picture on my ID (saying my picture looks so much younger than myself) which is not her business. Her job is to verify and also for my Xray first she said 28 $ when I handed my card she changed it to 39. Will not recommend this location to anyone
