I think a lot of the complaints on here are from people not paying. Sadly you have to pay for their premium subscription to get the proper photos and functionality. And I found that OK on the whole and didn’t get all the scammers others have mentioned. And I did meet some nice genuine people. Though you do get a lot of recommendations from miles away as others have mentioned. My biggest gripe however is them taking more subscription money from me despite me cancelling. I’ve had to call my credit card company to put a stop on it. This is theft and it has made me really angry. So be really careful. That said, so long as you’re prepared to pay and check they don’t steal from you after you cancel then this site is works as well as any of them in my view.

Didn't get the fake profiles or fuzzy pictures that some people complained about. Bad site design. I'm a web designer. If I'd built this site then I'd fire myself! I asked for connections within 50 miles - I get them from Cornwall and Yorkshire (and I live in London). Time wasted trolling through people living far too far away. Am also suspecting that some messages don't actually get through. Subscription renewal taken without a reminder. Customer service hopeless, it's actually difficult to even find the contact form. In fairness I have met a few people on the site so it does actually work.

The worst security ever received at least 3 fake phishing profiles daily no way to get anyone at silver singles to care I paid for 6 months last week and just cancelled but I am out almost $200 Do not sign up for this scam sute

OK so you get to sign up and you get to see fuzzy pictures of people who don’t give you a clue whether they attract you. Eventually you might get an equally fuzzy message that you cannot read and they expect you to pay a subscription for THAT!!! If you saw an item on EBay and the picture was so fuzzy you couldn’t make out what it was and the description was equally fuzzy so you couldn’t read it, would you cough up money and buy it NO. That’s exactly how Silver Singles works. You pay for something but you don’t know what you’re getting! You only have to look at their reviews on here for absolute proof. One star says it all. Pay up without knowing what you’re going to get - the classic scam!

Started to hook up with contacts, everyone that replied , their photos were all blurred , can’t make out any of the women at all, and the site says pay Premium to get clearer photos, dont trust that at all. Even after seeing company reply, only serves to say, we guys have to pay more money just to see picture, that not right at all.

Awful site wish I’d never bothered what a waste of money

Awful....Awful site. You put your radius in. Mine was 100 miles then they send you profiles of ladies living in London, Scotland and all over the South. They sent you matches...my stipulation was 68 to 75 they send matches 50 to 78, will not be rejoining. Also you send a message to a lady it takes for ever for her to recieve it. Most ladies and men are communicating on What'sapp as this is more reliable.

"Smile" system is a waste of time. Someone smiles at you, you reply, they don't reply. Probably the site itself trying to ignite a bit of interest. Can't specify local distances, 50 miles is the shortest distance. Result - you're constantly getting "smiles" or interest from people you know you won't meet because they live too far away. Met one person through this site, overall cost £45. You decide whether it's worth it.
