I ordered the mask at the beginning of quarantine, and the shipment was delayed. They actually refunded for shipping, but upon waiting for the mask to arrive and months passing by I received a it’s delivered response. And no mask to be found. I reached out to VIDA support and was given no response, followed up later and was told I was out of the 30 day time frame and to check with my neighbors to see if they received my mask. First off I wouldn’t want a mask delivered to my neighbors, I simply wanted a refund for ordering something I did not receive.

These are great lightweight masks that…
These are great lightweight masks that have an optional filter and a metal nose band to help them fit the face tightly, so those with glasses do not have the fogging issue. My only complaint is that the plastic tube to tighten the ear straps have broken on a few of my masks before even wearing, so now I can't tighten them. Overall great masks though and they hand wash really well!

kit
comfortable cute masks
i love the vida face masks because they are adjustable with the loops. the only downside is one of my masks came with a broken loop adjuster and the loop is too short to be able to tie in a knot and still fit my face. i wish some extra loop adjusting rubber beads were included in case one gets lost or breaks.

Masks received 2 and half months later
I received my masks 2 and half months after ordering them. There was no explanation, just kept saying the masks were in IL (??). Initially the company claimed the masks were 'made in California' but apparently not. This isn't an issue as such, but if I knew they were shipping from abroad I may as well have just bought some of Etsy. 1 star because the quality was not what I was expecting, the nose strip had completely moved out of place for all of the masks, so will now have to fiddle around with them and add stitches to ensure they don't move. I would not recommend ordering from this company, they're a bit of a joke.

Hi Sarah,
I'm sorry for your experience here. VIDA in fact offers a variety of masks, produced both domestically and internationally. We try to be as clear as possible about where each product is made.
Our Color Collection Protective Mask (https://shopvida.com/products/protective-mask) is manufactured in China. Our Made in California Mask is made in Los Angeles (https://shopvida.com/products/face-mask-usa) and our new Organic Cotton Mask (with 1000s of artist prints) is made to order in Pakistan (https://shopvida.com/collections/artist-print). VIDA itself is headquartered in San Francisco.
Regarding the quality issue you are experiencing, I'd like to help there as well. Can you email your order number to [email protected]? I'll make sure someone gets back to you personally ASAP.
Best regards,
Peter // VIDA

Second Large Order
I ordered more than 2,000 masks for my development in mid-June and they have been fantastic, but this review was about our second order.
As our operations expand, we decided to order more masks. There was a hiccup with shipping and they delivered it to the wrong address. The contact with VIDA, Tarana, was an incredible assistance in contacting UPS, communicating the status of the shipment, and having UPS pick up the bulk order to be delivered to the correct address.
I cannot thank her enough for the support VIDA provides, logistical or product-wise because their masks are top-notch. We have ordered masks from other locations and they're either too small or too uncomfortable. Thanks again!

Well-designed mask
Well-designed mask, with provision for inserting a filter. Well-made and comfortable masks, we've provided these for all the staff members at our environmental non-profit. I'm delighted that VIDA now also offers a US-made option.

Made in China
If I had known these face masks were made in China I would not have bought them.

Hi Regina,
Thanks for posting about your purchase on Trustpilot. Since manufacturing transparency is one of our core company values, we try to be as clear as possible about where each of our products is produced, and include that information on our product pages.
From your post, it sounds like you value transparency about where your products are produced. As an executive at VIDA, I can tell you that we do, too. In fact, we've developed customized educational and aid programs for each of our maker communities. We ask each of them to share their challenges and provide real data on what people in those communities need. In Pakistan, for example, each purchase of our Organic Cotton Mask supports our literacy education program for factory workers as well as mask donations for essential workers and communities in need n the US. We truly value the diverse craftsmanship that each distinct factory brings to the VIDA marketplace, and I know they value VIDA not just as a distribution outlet for their scarves, tops, bags, face masks, etc., but as a partner doing its best to secure fair wages, safe work and educational programs.
As you may have surmised we are a small but growing business that relies on the collaboration of many cultures. And as you may also have guessed, a global network of artists and artisans sometimes brings with it shipping, customs and other cultural complexities, especially during a global health crisis. Thus, I want to know more about your particular issue, so we can get to the bottom of it.
You can reach me at [email protected]. Please include your order number, and I promise someone will be standing by to respond personally and as quickly as possible.
Best, And Stay Safe,
Peter // VIDA

The mask is too small and it doesn't filter the wearer's air at all well
I got a Color-Collection Protective Mask. The nose-wire is so feeble that it could not seal the mask around my nose. Also, the ear loops are too short so the mask ended up tight with big gaps that immediately fogged up my glasses. And the insertable filter is much smaller than the area of the mask, so most of the air the mask-wearer breathes in is either totally unfiltered, coming in the gaps, or only slightly filtered by the layers of light fabric that make up the body of the mask. Might work decently for some children, and for keeping some virus inside the mask, protecting the public, but pretty worthless for protecting an adult wearer, and forget it if you need glasses!
