Ship Smart picked up and delivered our family heirloom clock and it was delivered without parts with the face bashed in. I filed a claim and it was denied saying the damage wasn't specifically stated, when in fact, it was stated by their own technician.

My items haven’t even been picked up yet and it’s already a bad experience. So many steps. Waiting to hear from warehouse. Can’t schedule a sooner pickup and it will already take 2-3 weeks for me to receive the items. Requesting it sooner will cost extra. I can’t update billing until the items are picked up. Overall, it’s just a POOR experience.

Have a quote and have had 5 calls dropped after waiting for 5-10 minutes each time. They gave a time they will call and did call, then waited 10 minutes and was dropped.

Overall decent. Samantha was very communicative on the front end of the process. We were able to get scheduled quickly. The price I'd say was reasonable. I paid for extra insurance and in house delivery so for an enormous 350lb king sized mattress, three huge boxes and a snowboard bag, I'd say $2100 cross country was worth it. My quote did not change as it was in line with my original weight estimate (this is where people keep complaining but it's their fault for underestimating their item weight). The knock though here is the time. I reached out every other week to get an update on an ETA and one was not provided (nothing shipped yet). It's totally understandable that this could take a few weeks. But after a month of no action it began to drag on. Only after 6 weeks when I escalated this was there any movement. From there it took 9 days to deliver (reasonable) and the delivery was well received. So as long as you're not in a hurry to get your things or have anything fragile (I see that complaint too), then this service is a means to an end for less than private movers.

**edited review to add a star after Ship Smart reached out to rectify the situation a bit by offering a partial refund. Ana from customer service was particularly kind and helpful. I appreciate the gesture and would consider using Ship Smart again in the future if I needed. We used Ship Smart to get transport 2 sentimental items from my grandmother across the country to our new home. They arrived on time and well packaged. But the main issue was the cost. They upped the price twice, including after the items had been picked up, despite us providing accurate measurements and weight for the items.

The worst. I would never use them again. It took them 10 weeks to ship a roomful of items from New Orleans to DC. When they arrived much of it was damaged. A total joke.

I must have 50 emails and calls with this company trying to get a response to where my shipment was and claim status. They shipped furniture for me, delivered it months late, and absolutely mangled it. The leg was snapped off a desk and missing. An antique grandfather clock was torn apart and destroyed. They only offer to cover half the declared value of the items. Horrible company, run away.
