I really wonder why I forget to look up reviews BEFORE a purchase but think I finally learned my lesson. This device worked ONCE and then quit. I have been trying for a week by every means possible (email, phone, text) to reach customer service but no one answers or replies. I have no idea what to do. Throw it away and lose my money?

Ordered two units and received them fairly quickly and setup went fine and connected to WiFi no problem. Then the problems started, one unit does not respond at all to flush after the first setup, next the batteries for both units are lucky if they last a day. So I have reached out multiple times to support and just get sent a copy of their troubleshooting stuff instead. Have sent multiple request and its taking days to get responses. I am seriously considering returning these if they are not gonna work.

DO NOT BUY!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY! I bought 3 of them and they are all defective and useless!!!!! They say the battery lasts 6 months BUT IT LASTS MAYBE 6 HOURS!!!!!! They are acting like I’m the dumb one not charging it right? I went out and bought a 5w block and a usbc to usba charger like it said to (which was $50 btw) AND THEY ARE TELLING ME I AM THE PROBLEM!!! And it wasn’t just one of my shine machines it was all 3 that I bought!!!!!! All 3 of the shine bars were broken in different ways straight out of the box. I paid almost $400 for these things and waited half a year to get it for it to be pieces of junk. Do not waste your money or time because all they do is tell you that you are the problem. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! Everything everybody else has said in their 1 star reviews is true and I have had all of that happen to me too!!!! It is so frustrating!!!

The lack of communication from this company is disappointing and very slow. I ordered 2 devices and one of them works well the other started out working well but the battery was not fully charged. As expensive as this device is you would think each device would come with a charging cable, but they do not. I ordered a charging cable and are still waiting for it to ship (been over 2 weeks). I am disappointed that both devices were not shipped to me fully charged as advertised. While reaching out to customer service all I got (took a week for them to respond) from them was instructions on how to charge the device. It was rude and a slap in the face. Still waiting for the over priced charging cable to be shipped to me. While I wait I’ve ordered a cable on Amazon. I also purchased the annual membership with unlimited pods and repair kits, no clue how to initiate it on the app. Their app is not user friendly nor does it connect well or sync with the website Cool concept, extremely poor execution by the company. Knowing all this I would probably not have ordered.

I have never spent more time or energy on anything in my life. I waited 10 months to get the product. They charged me over $600 I did not give you the discount they promise. Once I got the shipment oh, it did it work. It wouldn't register to their Network. After 7 or 8 attempts and reaching out to what they call customer service, it finally got registered and ionized. Then I got a notification that the battery was dead that was 2 days ago. I charged the battery for 24 hours. Yesterday it worked like a charm it's sprayed perfectly I was so happy and so excited. Today the battery is dead and nothing is happening and it's not even showing up on the application. I really don't have the life expectancy to deal with all the problems. I'm calling all of their instructions but don't waste your time and money it was great for the day and clean the toilet but it's not working. I called to ask for a refund I'm sure that will take forever. I'm very disappointed but was so excited when I read about it. There is no one to call or reach and no one returns phone calls. They did something on there and cuz it got to work for one day. You would think it would hold a charge more than 24 hours. Maybe I need to leave it plugged in I don't know. All I know is I could have cleaned my toilet about a thousand times with all the time and energy I spent. Buyer beware

I purchased 3 shine units in June. They weren’t delivered until late October despite claiming they’d be shipped by September. I also had to follow up; there was no proactive outreach from the team. I’ve been emailing and calling customer support since Friday (with absolutely no response on their end) to deal with the issues I’m having. I left a voicemail and have sent 4 emails to get support with my non operational units. This is beyond frustrating. Here’s a breakdown of my issues: One unit sprays water outside the toilet regardless of where I place the sprayer. The other two units do not respond to flushes at all. The devices don’t wake up unless I disconnect the battery and reconnect it every time. I’ve spent hours and hours re-adding the devices to my app, but surprise surprise, this is not successfully resolving the issues. Also, when removing one device from my app, all my devices disappeared from the app for > 3 days. Then, magically, after uninstalling and reinstalling the app 3 times, the devices magically appeared again days later. Lastly, I paid for a shine unlimited membership but it does not show up in my app. Furthermore, when I try to link my account with the shine membership (which is the same account I successfully log into on their website and paid for my device with) it says my account is invalid. The worst part, I can’t even dispute this purchase with my bank because they charged me in June for a product that wasn’t shipped until October. My dispute window has passed (despite having the devices for less than a week) and I now have to hassle with my bank’s escalated dispute process. Shine really needs to step up their customer support, especially around technical issues. I strongly recommend you think twice before buying this product.

I love my Shine. It saves me the time and/or hassle of cleaning my toilet bowl. I have toddlers in my home, thus messiness sometimes happens - but no more. I am assured of being able to have unexpected company come and not having to be embarrassed 🙈. I love the helpful emails that Shine sends too. Shine was super easy to install.

We have had our SAMs for 2 weeks now. They were easy to install and set up, and so far they are working as advertised. The pods are easy to deploy within SAM, and it connected to the Wi-Fi without difficulty. Looking forward to seeing how this performs over a longer period of time!
