Bait-and-Switch With Sesame Plus: No 90-Day Refills, Poor Customer Service
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Sesame's customer service, specifically regarding their Sesame Plus membership. The membership advertises 90-day prescription refills with no listed exclusions, which was a major factor in my decision to sign up. However, when I sought a refill for a standard, non-narcotic medication I’ve been taking for years—after consulting a provider through their mental health program—I was told I could only receive 30-day refills and would need to schedule monthly appointments. When I questioned why Sesame Plus was promoted as offering 90-day refills if that was not the case, I never received a clear answer. The customer service representative was unhelpful and even ended the conversation abruptly. When I called back, the phone agent didn’t seem to know what Sesame Plus was or how to verify my membership at all. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch. The promises made about Sesame Plus don’t match the reality, and the lack of transparency combined with poor and unprofessional service makes for a frustrating and unreliable experience. I would urge anyone considering their Plus membership to be wary—what is advertised does not reflect what you actually receive.
