It is dangerous to use Sesame. The provider didn't perform an actual diagnosis for an urgent care need, but instead just quickly prescribed something based on my self-diagnosis. They prescribed a $250 medicine that wasn't even available. When I notified them via messaging, they took 12 hours to modify the prescription - and prescribed EAR medicine for an EYE issue. When I notified them of that issue, they never responded again. If I hadn't been paying attention, I'd be putting ear drops in my eyes. I had to see a local doctor to get this resolved. When I contacted Sesame support for a refund, they said no - as long as the provider logged time, they won't refund it. They kept saying it was against their policy to provide a refund. To me that says a lot of about this prescription factory. They don't care about patient safety or quality of outcomes. They think it's acceptable for an incompetent provider to perform zero diagnosis and then wildly prescribe whatever - even if it has absolutely nothing to do with your issue.

I’ve had approximately 7–8 appointments canceled or completely no-showed in the last 48 hours. I’ve repeatedly scheduled appointments expecting to speak with a medical provider, only to have them canceled or have nobody show up. This is completely unacceptable for a healthcare platform. People use services like Sesame because they need medical attention, not to waste hours repeatedly scheduling appointments that never happen. After this many failed appointments, I have absolutely no confidence in the reliability of this service. I would strongly caution others against relying on Sesame for time-sensitive medical care.

Booked and paid for an appointment with Linda Enjema, aka Linda E. Orok, FNP with Sesame today for a tele-health visit for my migraine issues. Waited on the call for almost a half hour for to show up and she never did. She did, however, send a text through the app saying that she can no longer prescribe one of the medication she has been prescribing me, Gabapentin, because she said it is a controlled substance in GA. Well, as of today 10/13/26 that is false - it is not, as I verified from Georgia Code §16-13-29. Well, if she doesn't want to prescribe me a medication I have been on since 2006, fine. Lets do what we can with migraine in other ways. But no, she didn't show up, just let me hang out and wait while she hung around texted me, and then didn't respond to my text. I was forgiving of all the noise of prior calls (kids crying in the background amoung other things), her starting the call looking like she just woke up, etc. I can let that go,but her not showing up or even conversing with me on a day that I had to have this appointment, that costed me over $100 in lost work time due to a deadline I have on 10/15, is not something I can let go. Don't book with her if you value your time. She didn't value mine, and it really costed me today.

Update (Oct 17, 2026): I did eventually receive my $65 refund. However, Sesame never gave me any explanation for why two providers in a row failed to show up and cost me my afternoon. After I posted this review, I also received an email from Trustpilot saying it would be removed unless I updated it. Booked a same-day telehealth visit for 2:30 PM and paid $65. Completed all the paperwork ahead of time and was in the waiting room on time. The provider never joined. After 15 minutes I got a "provider wasn't able to join" message. Sesame gave me credit to rebook, so I booked a different provider for 3:15 PM. Same thing: waited in the room, got a "running behind" notice, then another "wasn't able to join" message. Nobody ever showed. I then clicked "Get a refund" and "Confirm my refund" more than once, and my account still shows no refund. The only option left is emailing support. The booking process was easy, but I lost my whole afternoon and never saw a provider. "Available today" and 5-star provider ratings mean nothing if the providers don't show up. If you need care at a specific time, have a backup plan.

I paid twice for the same consult with sesame care. The first time the clinician did not show up. The next day I tried again ( not knowing that I was already charge for that consult) when we finally got a Nurse Practitioner she was not only rude but dismissive to my needs. She ended up hanging up the phone on me. I got charge twice. I called the help line and presented a verbal comp and this person said this was going to be going to upper management and someone will get get back to me. It has been over a months and nothing. I chose this place because the price is more affordable. Never again.

I entered all of my medical information, said I had acne, and wanted a prescription for Accutane and Retin-A. Sesame recommended him and others; he had the soonest availability. Prior to the appointment, he told me he's not a dermatologist (so why did Sesame recommend him then?) and he couldn't prescribe Accutane, so I cancelled the appointment. I called Customer Support to make sure I wasn't going to be billed and they said that my request was denied because the physician had provided medical advice. HE PROVIDED NO MEDICAL ADVICE WHATSOEVER!!! but Sesame is charging me anyway. My medical advice to you is, don't ever login to SesameCare.com. It's a total scam, so look for online care somewhere else.

I’ve had two telehealth appointments with Sesame Care, and after my second experience, I will never use them again. During my first appointment, the provider did not turn on their camera, and I could hear other people in the background while my private medical information was being discussed. The appointment was otherwise quick and I received my refill, so I unfortunately gave Sesame another chance. For my second appointment, I needed a 90-day refill. I was on camera and waiting for the entire 15-minute appointment. **The provider never showed up.** At about 10 minutes, I called the provided phone number and entered the PIN, thinking there might be a technical issue. No one answered. Around minute 16, I contacted Sesame chat and was told to wait for customer service. The next morning, I was told **I was the no-show** because I hadn't called until 10 minutes into the appointment. I explained that I had already been on camera waiting for 10 minutes and asked them to review this. I was told they don't record it, and I was denied a manager. I also submitted a review through Sesame's website and received no response. Being told that I was the no-show when I had been sitting on camera waiting for the provider was incredibly upsetting. There was no meaningful investigation or attempt to resolve the situation. Women dealing with perimenopause already have enough difficulty navigating healthcare. We should not have to fight the healthcare platform just to be heard and treated fairly. **I am appalled by how this was handled and will never use Sesame again. I’m sharing this to warn other patients about my experience.**
