Do not order with same day delivery! You don’t get the package and they do not refund!
Ordered products with same day delivery. There are no tracking numbers but you get an email from Sephora when the package is supposedly delivered. Short story: My package was not delivered to the specified address and Sephora customer service is completely unable to prove that a delivery was made. Long story: I used a forwarding service address. I contacted Sephora support right after the order asking to ensure a code be included in my first name of the order. Sephora support informed me that they do not support forwarders so they would not do that. (What would be correct to do here from Sephora would be to cancel the order and issue a refund and everyone could continue happy). I eventually get an email from Sephora that the package is delivered, I check with my forwarder after a couple of days to allow processing but there is no package anywhere from Sephora delivered to my name. I contact Sephora support by phone asking for proof that my package was delivered. I talked with initial support as well as a supervisor. Sephora is unable to provide any form of proof they delivered my order with these two reasons: 1. Same day delivery uses Uber Eats and apparently you free Sephora of any responsibility this way. I never received a single email about that or any way to actually use Uber Eats to manage the delivery from my side. 2. They say my delivery address is a forwarding address so they do not provide refunds or handle this case. (What if I was a worker at that address and not forwarding at all?) The correct business approach would be: - Ensure there is documentation from UberEats that can be shared with the client (us shoppers), ideally alerts on when deliveries are actually made - Information about Uber Eats handling the delivery in the email (Sephora support insists it is present on the website, I did not see it, apparently it is hidden under an “i” button “right there easy for me to see”) I currently have no proof a delivery was made, no proof UberEats ever was involved, no refund. Wasted time and money. Do not pay extra for same day delivery -> anyone can run off with your package since there is no proof of these deliveries being made. Do not purchase from Sephora -> don’t support bad customer experience. An interesting detail is that if I had not contacted support initially they would not have known I use a forwarding address. Customer support insists that they know the address I used. Then the question is, why would they allow an address they do not support? This is not a business that cares about the customer, buy the products elsewhere.
