We needed something basic for my mom. She's 86 and living alone. She does well but has fallen a couple of times. This allows her to continue living at home but gives us confidence that she can alert us if she falls and has trouble getting up.

I set up my newly arrived device Saturday morning, plugged it in and tested it successfully. That evening I heard beeping. At two in the morning it woke me with several beeps and a spoken message “System Ready.” The small green light on top lit for a moment and went out. About 2:30 AM same story. About 3:00 AM same story. I hit the call button to ask operator how to fix the device. It didn’t call out, would have been useless in an emergency. I disconnected its phone line and power so I could sleep undisturbed. In the morning I called the help line. Nobody home until business hours. I started a chat on the website. Representative answered and called me. The device made no response to pressing call button on top. Electric outlet was good. Representative couldn’t figure out what was wrong. She offered to send me another device. I said I was returning it. I’m glad I didn’t find out in an emergency that the device doesn’t help me.

Hi Mary Ann, I wanted to wait to respond to your review after receiving the equipment back and learning more about the issue happening with the alert box. When we plugged in system, after receiving it back just the other day, the power turned on and has been plugged in for more than 24 hours here at our office without issue. I'm sorry the service did not work out for you, and I hope if you read this that you don't give up looking for another medical alert button to wear in case of an emergency. Received the alert system quickly and it was really easy to set up. Did the first test and it worked perfectly. Was asked a few questions by a very friendly representative and that’s all there was to do. Would definitely recommend to others.

when setting up my fathers device the person we were talking to was very polite and made my dad feel comfortable talking to him, he is 93 and wasn't sure and confident about using the device.
