Opened a professional seller account that costs $54.95 AUD per month. Listed items etc. Haven't had any luck selling anything (apart from one pair of sunglasses) so am keen to cancel subscription and close down Amazon account. However our account was deactivated (I think because we weren't selling anything, although we sold the one pair of sunglasses while deactivated - don't ask me how that works guess they just want more money and they still take $54.95 from our bank account each month even while deactivated) Now to close the account I have to re verify who I am with ID etc which it says can take up to two weeks. The reason to re verify is to sell on Amazon, however all I want to do is close the account. I can't downgrade my seller plan to personal without re verifying. I can't close my account for 90 days as we sold one item. So until my account is verified so I can downgrade my account Amazon will keep stealing $54.95 from me each month. They are impossible to deal with. Don't open a seller account unless you are sure you want to really commit to making it work. Basically they make it impossible to close - deactivate you for no reason then make it impossible to fix or close your account. Have now wasted 4 hours today trying to solve the issue and I' not much closer it seems. I agree with other people that Amazon are basically thieves in a situation like this.

The experience with this service has been extremely frustrating. The platform has been unreliable, frequently going up and down, and the communication has been lacking—no one ever picks up the phone to address the ongoing problems. We were assigned an account representative, but it’s unclear what value that brings since the account has not been operational for a single day without running into some issue. One of the most absurd problems was being flagged as a incorrect product, which is completely inaccurate and unrelated to our product. It was just a AI or technical flag because any human would know this isn't a pest product. This constant stream of issues has been exhausting, and each attempt to get them resolved feels like a waste of time. When reaching out to support, the Indian call center agents seem more focused on dragging out the conversation than actually fixing the problem. Even scammers pretending to be Amazon or Microsoft are more efficient then what they are! Despite numerous calls and hours spent explaining the situation, nothing ever gets resolved. It has been a time-consuming and frustrating process that feels like it's going nowhere.

I MADE A SELLER ACCOUNT, GOT APPROVED AFTER WEEKS. I WAITED TILL I HAVE DONE RESEARCH ON PRODUCTS I WAS GONNA SELL. AFTER 30 DAYS OF OPENING THE ACCOUNT WITH NO LISTINGS YET, I GOT BANNED FOR "MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS POLICY". MIND YOU, I NEVER USED AMAZON SELLER IN MY LIFE. I WANTED THIS TO BE A SIDE HUSTLE. WHEN I WANTED TO COTNACT THE NON EXISTENT AMAZON TEAM, I COULDN'T AND I GOT THE SAME ROBOTIC ANSWER. THANKS FOR STEALING $40 OUT MY POCKET JEFF BEZOS

I wanted to sign up to be a seller on Amazon, but found out that I already had a seller account!?! But get this... My Amazon account has been deactivated! To reactivate a seller account, you have to submit evidence to justify the account being reactivated. ...and here's the punchline... But they won't share the reason why Amazon deactivated the account that I didn't know I had! ...and the best bit... There are NO contact details (phone, email or otherwise) to be able to contact the Amazon Seller Central Team. So, what evidence is there that this 'team' even exists if Amazon Customer Service staff don't even know how they can be contacted?

They banned me for buying products from an "unverifiable supplier" that supplier had good reviews online, and was reputable. They refused to give us the money we already made from selling the product, and since we were doing FBA, and had our inventory in their warehouse, they refused to send it back to us, so know they have hundreds of units of MY inventory stocked at THEIR warehouse. BIG MISTAKE on my end. I tried repealing our account deactivation several times, sent them invoices, the suppliers website, contact info, promised to never buy from them again, etc. and after several days of waiting, amazon in returned gave us a very well thought-out response, of "We completed our evaluation of your submission. We do not have enough information to remove the violation at this time." with no explanation as to why or what we could do to reactivate it. Oh, and also, Amazon says their fees is 15% per unit sold. That is a lie. That is the absolute MINIMUM they charge depending on the product category, it is often 30-60% per sale that they take from you. They also pressure you to lower your prices or else they will put you on the 500th (500th was just an example) page when someone searches up the exact keywords of your product name. You are now forced to lower your prices and are making VERY little profit, maybe no profit at all, or possibly the worst of all, you are selling for less than what you bought it for after all the extremely high amazon fees are accounted for. I would absolutely give them 0 stars if possible. My account got deactivated 5-6 months ago and I'm still mad about it to this day. Jeff bezos and Andy Jassy both belong in prison. Amazon is a con and selling on here is less than a joke! I have complained to anyone who will listen but obviously Amazon is too no one wants to start legal complaints against them. Nobody should sell on Amazon unless you like loosing money. I started selling on Amazon 2 years ago and now I’ve lost £50,000 and I don’t make a penny and Amazon won’t let you leave until you have sold everything, but there easy return policies makes this near on impossible!!!!!!! It’s beyond words how’s it run. Only one winner here Amazon. They are all thieves and they belong in prison.

Total rubbish. Waste of time!

Opened up a seller account and were charged £30, the entire process was confusing and we ended up making one sale but never received the money from Amazon. We decided not to proceed with the next month and emailed to cancel. This request was ignored and the money was taken from my account. We have contacted customer support and we're once again ignored, after many emails, live chat talks and phone calls, we were told that we were not getting a refund. We have tried to close the account and this is an impossible task. Scammers and awful service. Will never use Amazon again. Now going to have to go through my bank to block these thieves from taking any more money.
