I ordered a brand new Herman Miller chair and received a bitten up used chair. After arguing with the company I found out from Herman Miller themselves that Seating Mind is not even an authorized dealer, and such it doesn't carry original new products… I filed a complaint with the credit card company who looked into this matter and returned my money back in full. Seating mind then collected the chair back at their own expense. After the incident I noticed multiple bad reviews in several sites, while other give them a very high mark. I suspect that the positive ones are not genuine. The whole process was a big waste of time and very tiresome.

They sent me broken chair and are ignoring my requests to either repair or replace it. My emails to the apparent owner, Abe Berkovits, go unreturned.

I placed my order on Oct 22. I was shipped the wrong color chair. I immediately reached out to customer service on Nov 5. I was contacted by Customer Service on Nov 8th asking for images of the incorrectly shipped chair. I responded with images the same day. After hearing nothing, I reached back out on Nov 11. I got a response on Nov 13 that I could be sent a correct color seat and back if that was okay. I responded the same day to accept. Since then I have not received any updates on what is happening, what to expect and in what timeframe despite reaching out again 3 days ago. Today is Nov 19th and I am still waiting to know what to expect and how long it should take. The chair that was shipped is in a very large box and taking up a major amount of space in my living room as I wait to find out what to do next. UPDATE: 12/14 Yes, I was contacted after leaving my review. A tracking number was created on 11/18 and shared with me on 11/20. No action took place on that tracking number, it just said, "A label was created." 11/21: I reached out again on and asked if they actually have the chair in stock and let them know I can return the original chair. I had not investigated the original chair as I was always expecting to return it. I finally opened the rest of the package and found that even if I wanted this color chair, the base was plastic and broken into several pieces. I shared images of this with customer service who never acknowledged it. 11/25: I got a one sentence response, "You should receive the cushions in about two weeks." Still no change to the tracking number. 12/7: Almost two weeks later I reach out yet again. I ask for honesty as to whether they actually have the chair (again) and express that if there is no change to the tracking number status in the next couple days I'll need a full refund. 12/10: I am told the chair I attempted to purchase on October 22 is not in stock. I ask for my money back immediately. 12/12: I contact my credit card company to dispute the charges. 12/13: Now that I've disputed, they immediately send me an email with info on returning the chair for a refund after they receive it. This company is fraudulent. This ordeal could have been settled in days, but it was stretched out for close to 2 months, not including the time it will take to set up a return with FedEx and receive a refund. Save yourself the time and headache and do not do business with seatingmind.com. Update Feb 2021: They have received the returned chair over 2 months ago. They refuse to give me my money back. This "business" is 100% a scam. Look them up on Better Business Bureau to see many people with the same experience.

The chair I received was defective. The chair bracket connecting the back to the seat did not line up. I used Paypal to purchase the chair. I complained to Paypal and their resolution requires me to pay shipping to return chair for a refund. SeatingMind.com is counting on this because you will lose half your purchase price and won't return it. "Caveat Emptor", Buyer beware! I won't purchase anything from this company again.

Item was shipped quickly. Item was not as described. A feature on the product listing was not accurate - and was one of my deciding factors in making the purchase. I sent a message asking if the listing was wrong or if I was shipped the wrong item by mistake - have received no response.

So far nothing has happened. I can't get back into the order to cancel it. I contacted customer service and haven't received a reply.

I am filling this out after placing my order and before my chairs ship. I found the website very useful, particularly the explanations of and comparisons among different styles for chairs. I cannot speak to the quality of the refurbished chairs I ordered yet.

Highly skeptical at this point and had they let me pay through a credit card instead of paypal i would be disputing the charge. 14 days after ordering I just got an email it could be another 14 days delayed. I work in distribution and can say certainly this is either the worst run operation in the world or some sort of fraudulent scheme. Also it is actually impossible to get in touch with their support. If I don’t get a shipping confirmation email in the next 4 days I am going to report to PayPal and file with the Better Business Bureau.
