Left Charles Schwab for TD Ameritrade several years ago because I was unhappy with the customer service and the web site. Loved everything about TD America, then Schwab took them over and it sucks again. Schwab should have changed everything to TD Ameritrade and scrapped their garbage.

bad experience with Charles Schwab, I'm Brazilian and international customer of Schwab my account was with TD ameritrade (an excellent brokerage) the experience was great, but now in September, my TD ameritrade account migrated to Charles Schwab and I'm having a bad experience I can't buy any securities all my orders are canceled for no reason this Schwab company doesn't respect the investor.

Is there an option of zero star
Is there an option of zero star? My account got transferred from TD to Charles Schwab. The system is hard to use and designed to trap customers into paying unnecessary fees. Their customer service is not helpful and outright rude. It's a waste of time speaking to them.

Schwab acquired TD Ameritrade. Disaster is the outcome. I am looking for a better broker.
The 6 accounts I had opened with TD Ameritrade are now under Schwab’s control. I can no longer access all my accounts or use Thinkorswim.
Will file FINRA and SEC complaints.
Researching other brokers to move my money there.
Investors, beware of Schwab!!!

My Voice Verification Failed — My Account Was Suspended
My account was suspended because I didn't pass voice verification when I called Charles Schwab customer service. I answered all six security questions correctly but failed the voice verification.
I've been a client for over twenty years and have over 1M in assets but my account was suspended because of my voice. After Schwab realized their error, they left voice verification ON anyway so it could have happened again. I had to request they turn it off.
I can't change my voice but Schwab can change their security procedures and contact the client before suspending their account. They didn’t.
Bye bye, Charles Schwab. Hello, JP Morgan Chase.

I am a TD Ameritrade holdover
I am a TD Ameritrade holdover. I did everything I was supposed to do in the transition. Haven't been able to get into my account since.

EXCELLENT PHONE CONTACT From Ireland I've managed my own stock…
From Ireland I've managed my own stock trading account for about 10 years at Schwab. The trading platform works well. In my last phone call about a EFT money transfer which I do maybe once or twice a year, my call was answered as usual promptly and professionally, with great care taken about my identification.

Run away from Charles Schwab
I have been with USAA for over 50 years and both my wife and I had IRAs with them. Without warning they sold their brokerage unit for billions to Charles Schwab. Out of the blue some investment advisor (Isiah Barbra) kept calling us saying he had to speak with his clients at least once a year by law. I smelled a rat, but felt we should at least chat with him once. I was concerned that he was just going to try to sell us some kind of "service". After close to an hour of rambling nonsensical babble, he declared he had "homework" for us. Sure enough, he wanted us to sign up for a financial plan which would cost each of us $600. To provide the financial planner the information needed to build the plan he wanted to know every bank/company we were invested in, how much was at each, how much cash we kept at home (including in our wallets), all of our monthly expenses, how much travel we did/planned to do, etc., etc,. etc. During the Zoom discussion, he even went so far to include a Christmas photo of him & his siblings wearing the same holiday outfits as children! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL WAS THAT? After that call, we decided to close our Schwab accounts and move to another broker. Schwab made that process rather difficult but we were finally able to get it done and could not be happier. Don't believe the "good PR" that Schwab pays for! I suggest you take a a good look at all the 1 star reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I am also not pleased with the fact that USAA sold its brokerage business to Schwab for around $1.5B and never informed its members (who actually are the owners of the Association) that this was happening until it was a done deal.
