Total nightmare! Used TD Ameritrade for 20 yrs. Accts transferred to Schwab. NO email access. Lousy website. This company has no interest in self directed investors. They want you to pay for their advice. TD was successful and consumer friendly. Getting ready to move all accounts to Fidelity. Wish I could give them negative stars. They don't deserve the 1*.

Phone customer service had been always good but I called the local number for Ft.Lud, FL office ( call was answered in Kentucky) to make an appointment to go into the branch to discuss transfer of my 401k. I was told someone would call within 48hrs. Days later I called the number for Boca (FL) and the call was answered in Texas. I explained wheat had happened the lady said she was sending an email to the branch manager to ensure I would get a call. It's been weeks and nobody called. May be they don't like foreign sounding names. The sad part is I already have account with them.

Not very knowledgeable customer service. Took a long time just to answer a very simple question. They need a lot more training. They ended up temporarily locking my wife out of her account.

What a useless company, staffed by numbnuts and persons who apparently were lucky to graduate from the 5th grade. Asking for a simple form is a Herculean request and, after I was told it would be mailed out by 2 "managers", and countless phone answerers, a 3rd "manager" said the form does not exist. What a shitshow Schwab has become.

They only want minorities as coustomers, see their internet homepage for verification. Their coustomer service is really horrible, they make you jump through hoops, barrage you with a bunch of irrelevant questions to close an account, their policies they don't adhere to themselves and I note by reviews I am not the only one with this view.

I wish I can use stronger language in this review. Charles Schwab is hands down one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with ever in my entire life. I don't think a company can be worst in all aspects of the company. Their website is absolutely horrendous, don't even try downloading their "Mobile analysis app" for it is most definitely the most poorly made app I've ever seen The representatives for the most part were good however the process of getting anywhere with this company's policies and rules was laughable.

This company manages employee shares for Google. My partner died three years ago and Schwab told me his account had been closed some years earlier and there was nothing in it. With the help of Google HQ I discovered there was $76k in the account. I don't know if Schwab are incompetent or criminal, but they are certainly useless. I transferred the funds and asked them to close the account - I still receive statements stating that $0.33 remains in the account. I would contact and ask them to close the account as they were meant to if I thought they were capable of doing that.

I have called about the same issue three times, been on the phone for about 3 hours total, and they still never resolve my issues
