Overall the experience was pretty good just took a long time to get everything in and due to some unexpected problems it took two full days to fo the install. My wife and I are for the most part satisfied with the shower.

I had a tub installed in OCT 2021 and now 6 months later I find that my monthly payment is going up $18 a month due to information that was not disclosed at time of purchase. Safe-Step is good at doing a quick side-step and claim they are not responsible for disclosing info at time of sale, and I have to contact the finance company, GreenSky, which I have done and they only say to call Safe-Step. In short, this company is a scam and I highly recommend them to no one and advise everyone to stay clear of doing any business with them. I am filing a complaint with the local BBB as well as the state banking authorities.

We have attempted on several occasions to contact the customer but our calls have not been returned. We find no basis for any of the allegations set forth in the review. The contract clearly states the monthly payment and we have received no information whatsoever that the Ellers’ payment is even one cent higher than stated. We remain willing to address any discrepancies, but we cannot force the customer to return our calls.

Tub size smaller than we anticipated. Had more room with the old tub. Barely enough room to get in and swing the door shut. Tub height increased so much that I can't stand straight up to take a shower. My head brushes the ceiling and I have to stoop down to get under the shower head. Also no screen on the drain. Almost lost a razor head cover down it. And my wife has long thick hair that after a shower usually has left evidence in the drain. Installers were polite and professional and cleaned up the mess. Explaination on tub functions was thorough. Job completed in around 9 hours. Tub uses a lot of hot water look into getting a bigger water heater or a tankless hot water on demand unit. I think tub is only worth about half of what we're paying for it. Being generous with 3 stars.

So much was very good. We discovered after the installation that we don't have enough hot water to fill the tub. We acknowledge we were advised this might be the case, but if the SafeStep salesman would have checked or strongly advised we check right at the beginning, we could have had this issue resolved before the tub was installed, saving us 2 additional weeks of having a tub sitting unused. Additionally, the installation team could have been more careful in protecting our walls and doorways, or the salesman could have recommended we add edge protection ahead of time. The installation team was diligent in performing their work and completed the installation in one day.

The worst company I have EVER seen. They weren’t even working on my house but I live in a town house and these men objectified me as I walked outside and worked (banging on the walls and drilling) until the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT? They wouldn’t leave upon multiple requests by myself and the home owner. I am beyond pissed and will ensure that no one I know works with these jerks again.

I really don't know about installing a tub so can't give feedback on the actual tub installation. My feedback is a couple of other items that were done. My biggest complaint is the caulking that was done around the wall panel above the tub. The panel is on a dark blue wall and I pointed out as he was doing it that the white caulk was smeared out on the blue paint and he assured me he would fix it. When he finished the work, he called me in to go over the features of the tub and he had me turn so my back was to the wall where the caulk was. I didn't realize til the next day that he never fixed it but I'm not surprised because one comment he had made when I talked to him was that they are paid by the job so the faster they get one job done, the sooner they can move on to the next one which means more money for them. I didn't file a complaint at the time because I thot I could fix it but I'm not sure what kind of caulk they used but I think it must be an unpaintable because nothing I have tried seems to work. At this point I'm not sure what can be done to fix it except calling a professional painter to try to get it fixed. The second thing is the door jam. I had been told they would have to take the trim strip off which they did using a "pry bar". After they put it back together the marks where they had to pry the strip off are very visible. I had thought they would at least run a strip of caulking down both sides of the strip but they didn't so I will have to try to get that done too. There's a couple of other smaller things but I have taken care of them. These are the two things that I'm going to end up having to hire someone to come fix which is very frustrating.

My parents have had trouble with the chrome peeling off in chunks on the latch/handle. My mother has badly cut her hand several times on the sharp edges, so we’ve taped over the whole area. The tub door will now not close, so she’s standing with her knee against the door to keep water from leaking out. She can’t use the bathtub, can only rinse off in the shower. This has created a dangerous situation for her, she’s 88 years old with crippling arthritis. We’ve contacted the company over 1/2 dozen times for 6months and can’t get a replacement or repairman to come fix the defect. This tub cost over $18,000 and is only 5 years old. The handles are terrible quality and started peeling by year 2. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you expect any kind of quick customer service when it breaks down. My mom is now washing in the bathroom sink to avoid another accident. Shameful!

Everyone, from salesman to installers to inspector were very professional, personable and competent. They know the product and were very helpful in guidance as to the features and usage. I feel confident that I made the right decision buying SafeStep.
