You’ve worked with a number of dealer programs for support, coverage, and funding. Since they are middlemen, low margins and constricting terms inhibit your growth. It’s time to eliminate the middleman. It’s time to go direct.

Blaming the Customer
I have had this system for over a year. The alarm went off and police dispatch but would not come because I have no permit on file.
Customer service called the next day to chastise me about not getting a permit.
I told that person that since I am in Education
and not alarms it is THEIR expertise that I am paying $49 per month for!!!!
No one told me about a permit, no one followed up with my paperwork to make sure I had one.
If they knock on your door selling this sucky service, slam it!!

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns via email correspondence. I was very sorry to learn that you had an unfavorable experience with our company. Safe Home always strives to meet the highest standards in our industry.
Concerning your specific claim, you had mentioned in your post that you had not been aware of the requirement for the permit. I wanted to point out that every city and county has its alarm systems and permit regulations. In addition, cities and counties are free to modify their requirements as they deem appropriate. As such, it would be virtually impossible to have a comprehensive knowledge of the needs of all cities and counties at all times. It is for this reason that the alarm monitoring agreement which you signed includes a provision that states that in the section entitled, “Customer’s duties,” that,
“You will obtain and keep in effect all permits or licenses that may be required for the installation and operations of the system.”
As such, all customers are advised when the agreement is signed off on the potential requirement of obtaining and maintaining an alarm permit. Please provide us with your contacts information
Please also note that the final portion of your agreement does specifically reference the possibility of a requirement of obtaining a permit and states as follows:
“The city or county in which your Home or business is located may require that you obtain a permit for the use and monitoring of the System. Local authorities may not respond to alarm notifications until all permits or licenses for use of the System have been obtained, and therefore we may not begin monitoring until you have obtained at your expense all necessary permits or licenses, and provided us with the license or permit.”

Worst customer service I ever received…
Worst customer service I ever received men who installed my security system did not have any customer service what so ever and didn’t even know how to put it up. They also took some of my equipment from my security system from VIVINT. So now I don’t have that. I also called customer service to cancel everything I emailed my cancellation letter. I did everything and I’m still waiting back on that. I just had a bad experience overall I wish I would have just never gon through with this. Never again

1.HOW TO FLOAT A SECURITY SERVICE SCAM THE RIGHT WAY.
1.salesman called "Mo" did not give last name, no phone # and no business card and no address of company. Typical of a scam, he left me NO papers, documents that I signed on the cell phone only. His response was that "they" would send me copies of all the documents. It's a very good scam tactic, because when an 84 yr.old person like me can't remember all I was told, waiting before sending the actual documents after the rescission period is up and too late to cancel the contract is very efficient way to force and coerce seniors into a lock on their money.
2. Mo advised me that canceling my Brinks Security should be delayed for 6 months before I informed Brinks that I was cancelling my contract. My Brinks contract is ending Nov. 2022.Said I would be billed $4.99/month for the next 6 months--June 2022, but would have to pay Safe Home Security $59/month after June 2022.
3. It meant that the $59/mo. I pay Brinks will continue to Nov. 2022. When I questioned MO about the cost to me of canceling Brinks early--in say 6 months or so--I would owe $59X6mo.=$360 penalty to Brinks--He on several occasions told me he would handle and pay that penalty. This tactic is a fraudulent tactic because your company will never pay me back the $360 I will have to pay Brinks for cancelling the contract early. THis same scam was pulled on me by Brinks in the same manner and never refunded the $700 they agreed to refund to me after I paid ADT $700 penalty for cancelling ADT contract early 2 years ago.
If this happens not to be a scam against me as a senior costing me far more money to change Security companies, I don't know what is!!!!
4. MO wrote out the words I should use to cancel my contract with Brinks.
exactly the same as Brinks did to me 2 years ago and stole my money, has never contacted me over two years of my writing letters to Brinks, calling them, and demanding they send me the paper contracts written on paper. Threats of mine were ignored. My attorney said it is a common trick to steal from unwary seniors, which I believe is happening here.
5. I tried to find Safe Home Security online and found only one reference to a company with that name in Connecticut. MO told me that his company is local---and never told me the phone # or address of the company--the name cannot be found in Las Vegas, NV. Even this email with the name Safe Home Direct, I was ready to delete in email, as a spam company as well. I had found no way to get to the Safe Home Security company anywhere, because I was not given any documents with the company name---wearing a t-shirt with the company name on it is another scam tactic used to make people believe they are from the company---because all licensed companies locally, representatives of the companies are required to wear a special ID card visible on their shirt.and neither MO or the installer ERIC (who drives for LYFT) had those required ID's.
6. Scammers arrive at the doorbell anytime from Fri.Noon to late Sun.night for obvious reasons. THere usually is no car that they came in at the sidewalk. If I try to print the documents they refuse to let me because is ruins their game.
7. I at first indicated to MO that he was trying to scam me, so he takes his phone and tells me he is calling a recent customer that joined your company. Of course he didn't permit me to call him, so he did the calling and I spoke with the man--it was a set-up for sure because the man was immediately available to the call and had fruitful comments about the service he got, even mentioned he was a military veteran for some reason---how would he know that i was also a veteran?? unless MO had told him previously,or while he spoke with the guy before he handed the phone to me. A bribe always helps convince others to buy in-to the service being offered.
8. So I opened up the email from Safe Home Direct to see if it had anything to do with Safe Home Security. There was the name ALARM.com
and stating that they were providing this form to fill out. A

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed review about recent experience with your partners. we are disheartened to hear that many elements of your experience were disappointing. We wanted to let you know that we have performed an analysis your account history with our office. At the time that you entered into your agreement with our office, you participated in what we refer to as our “Pre-Call” survey. This is a video/audio recorded survey during which you were asked a series of questions designed to ensure that you understand your rights and obligations under your agreements. All of our customers are required to participate in and pass this survey prior to the physical installation of their systems. While it is always distressing to discover that a customer is claiming a disparate interpretation of the nature of his/her transaction with our company, we make our best efforts to take the requisite proactive measures to handle such a situation when we encounter it. Our primary strategy for ensuring our customers are equipped with the important information about their agreement is to require that all customers of Safe Home Security participate in both a pre- and post-installation survey, both of which are recorded. We will call you in the AM to discuss your complaint in detail.

Not happy
One, you don't follow through with phone calls and see how the service is doing. Two, why buy out the service that the person had and not noting wrong with the existing system. Three, you show up and push your system on those who have no idea of your reliable. Four, your system is quite and doesn't say anything on doors being opened.
Not happy with it.

Installation of the new camera delayed…
Installation of the new camera delayed without advance notice. New panel was smaller than the last one. This was a disappointment. Also I was told that the old system would not be reinstalled after it had been disconnected if we changed our mind.
