BBB accreditation necessitates a company to have ethical business practices requiring you not to misrepresent your services, not provide misleading information or omitting information about your services. Safebound Moving & Storage (a misleading company name) violates ALL of these standards. Their staff left our house with this remark: “Another unhappy customer”, indicating that this is a pattern rather than an exception. You may be told insurance is included in the quote but when you try and file a claim you find out that there are exclusions, terms and limitations to the point that you will not receive much of ANY compensation for your losses ($.60 per pound). Insurance inclusion misrepresented! Safebound will deliver all of your belongings trashed and per the contract terms have zero liability. That's exactly what they did to us. And when asked if it was a wrong expectation to have all of our belongings properly cared for ... crickets... no, that's not a reasonable expectation to have. This as they take your belongings from truck to truck and state to state and they do not care one bit. Even tried to offload somebody else's box at our house. Also each time your stuff changes hands the rate goes up. The estimated 7-14 business days became 4 weeks without any notice and them saying they didn't know where the truck currently was?!! Modern technology should tell you EXACTLY where the truck is. Also the fine print says that they can do that without informing you. Delivery guys YELLED at my daughter after dumping all belongings, scuffed the walls, broke the handrailing, showing up late and neglected to give the $350 change owed. We paid about $7,000 for a move from AZ to IL and suffered $9,000 of damages to our belongings and are owed $350 change. They say I can have the $350 change but that they can only cut ONE check so I could then not claim any other damage. REALLY?! $350 is change owed and damages is a different thing. Also there is no rule that says 'one check only'. I've now been referred to yet another company with a GMAIL address (how unprofessional) to file more paperwork. I've offered to settle several times but to no avail. First it was Eladio, then Zac, General Manager, Safebound Moving and Storage, 561-660-9397; Zac said he would talk to the owners to comp us but when I submitted the $9k claim I was passed on to Johanna (johannalopezatussafemovinglv.com) who operates a gmail for filing claims. I received an amateur Word doc and request to share all info with ussafemovingclaimsatgmail.com I'll update as I progress, but in the meantime, please DO NOT hire Safebound ----------------- Look up threads.com for an investigation pending. Also Safebound junior employee Mellie posted slander/defamatory content with our full name and our employer online. I'm told she has been suspended. ------------------ Next in order to get our $350 in change due back, they use legal intimidation. Demanding we sign a legal document preventing us from ever posting anything negative about the company and allowing Safebound to report me to a credit bureau or sue me for damages etc. completely unreasonable. This tactic may also mean that they have shut up many customers with negative experiences, disallowing them from posting honest reviews.

If you're looking for the company with the least integrity in the space, you've found it. Thousands of dollars worth of items in "air-conditioned" long-term storage were delivered with extensive mold and mildew. They then had the audacity to try and blame it on us. Told them I was simply looking for the cost of replacement for the items, went through their claims process, and had to chase them down for months to get a response. Ultimately came back with an offer of 40% of the value. I let them know I would not accept it and they said the offers off the table, nothing else you can do then. The ironic part about all of this is that if you're put on hold with them (which you will be), their hold music talks all about how they "treat your belongings as if they were their own," how "integrity is a key value held by the company," and that "your belongings are stored securely in our air-conditioned warehouses." This company and its leadership is a joke. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

We chose this company for a quick move and paid top dollar, but our delivery was delayed and the manager didn’t care. They did not honor their commitment. Not recommended.

Safebound is a joke! Mover beware and make sure that EVERYTHING you are quoted is in WRITTING! I moved long distance and my quote kept going higher and higher. When we arrived to our destination, items were damaged. We submitted a claim for reimbursement and it was like pulling teeth to find out when we would receive our check! Only after getting with BBB did they contact me back. Final result was to sign a disclosure waiving liability for my refund. I declined because the truth needs to be said. It was too good to have a moving company with an A rating! Let’s be realistic

It wouldn’t let me give zero stars. There are countless events that occurred that I could discuss. But the best way to summarize it would be that they baited me with a $6,900 quote and when moving day came with no where else to go, they charged me $12k. I have the quotes and the invoice. They didn’t answer the phone, didn’t call back, the estimator, Patric, was nowhere to be found, and they never held themselves accountable. Plenty more occurred from damaged belongings to poor behavior from the movers and more. They’ve since blocked me on Facebook and deleted my honest reviews where they could.

This company is a complete disgrace . USA out of FLA ( not Canada) Nathan in sales is promising things that do not take place . Company is a broker not a moving company. Your stuff is slapped to many different trucks and they took 11 days to move four states and up charges from the load to the delivery . $2000 plus $400 more for a SHUTTLE TRUCK THEY RENT FROM BUDGET $2400 dollars for broke items, ruined - broke and smashed boxes - items missing - it’s a scam and a joke of a company. FORBES DOES NOT BACK THIS COMPANY - the most unprofessional people ( operation manger yelled at me ) dispatch and ladies in office are rude-and oh driver Dave is missing and not communicating nor shows up when he is suppose to! I was told I was next stop -2 days later lied too and driver passed my state but had a broken down truck all of the sudden _ party on Garth - BEWARE IF YOU WANT TO FLUSH your money down the toilet use this company . You don’t get your belonging ( had to purchase stuff to hold me over till they decided to get there and my stuff is busted and broken and missing!!

Safebound moved me from Florida to Michigan in May of this year. They were timely in picking up my belongings and pretty much on schedule when they arrived. When the truck came there was only the driver and my daughters and granddaughter as well as an elderly neighbor had to help unload. The main problem I had was that we received a box named Daniel's bedroom which did not belong to us. There are trophies and belts from martial arts classes. I have called the company about this no less than 4 times and was told each time that they would track down the owner and get back to me. Never got any response from them and the box is still in my garage. What do they expect me to do with it, throw it out? These must mean something to someone. I have to wonder if they ever contacted the other people who had items on that truck.

I contracted with SafeBound Moving and Storage, but after the date was set, they assigned my move to One Circle Moving & Storage. When I objected, Zac Reid at SafeBound said that they used One Circle all the time and he “would trust them to move his grandmother.” The day of the move, One Circle ran out of blankets to wrap the furniture and had to use shrinkwrap instead, promising it would protect as well as blankets. It does not. When it was time to load the truck, I was told there was not enough room in the truck, so the movers left for two hours to pick up a different truck! A move that should have ended in a few hours, did not end until after 11 pm, causing me issues with my neighbors and the HOA. Of course, there was some damage. The claims process was handled by Moving Claims. The process was arduous, extremely time consuming, and requiring many steps of redundant information. I needed to email them periodically for status updates; I doubt they would have processed the claim if I had not done so. Finally, Moving Claims sent me an email informing me that the claim was approved but it was up to the moving company to pay me. After waiting longer than the prescribed time period, I contacted Wayne Howell at One Circle who said he would send a check the next day. He did not then, nor after the two emails where he said he would send it. Zac Reid at SafeBound said he would send me the check if I signed a release stating that I would never say anything negative about SafeBound. In all good conscience, I could not do that, and cause anyone else to suffer as I did. It’s the principle. AVOID BOTH COMPANIES AT ALL COST!
