The moving company safebound moving was fantastic all the guys that came packed and moved us from San Francisco to Atlanta were very professional extremely polite and hardworking people. You here so many bad stories this company was great start to finish

Our pickup and delivery were great. The problem was in between. We were careful to pack our breakables with lots of bubble wrap and put at least 5 “fragile” stickers on each box containing breakables. Whatever workers unloaded the first truck and loaded it onto the second truck did not respect our belongings or the “fragile” stickers we placed on boxes. Many of our dishes and other breakables were destroyed. The boxes were mangled, crushed, and damaged. We also shipped two bicycles, one of which got a flat tire somehow and the other had its handlebars twisted 90 degrees.

Ryan, Bryan and Roger were great. My stuff was moved quickly and wasn’t damaged. They helped assemble my bed and arranged the furniture to my liking. 5/5

In my personal experience and opinion, I was forced to use this mover without my knowledge this company is unethical, incompetent and extremely negligent with your personal items. The review should actually be (-1)

Do not use Safebound Moving and Storage! In 2021 I hired them to move most of my furniture to my temporary rental house and some of my belongings to their stoarge facility! They quoted me an all-inclusive fee of about $6,000.00 for both of the moves into my rental and then to my new home. The "climate controlled" storage fees were about $700.00 a month. When they delivered "all" of my belongings to my new home, they damaged several pieces of my furniture to the tune of over $4,000.00, and they stole about another $4,000.00 of my belongings! They forced my to use their "CSI adjusters" which offered me a paltry $200.00! Luckily my renters insurance covered most of my actual losses. Many of my tools which went into storeage have considerable amounts of rust on them! They charged me about $5,000.00 for the final delivery of my belongings to my new home! Buyers beware! do not use Safebound Moving and Storage for even a small move!

Do not use Safe Bound Moving and Storage (safeboundmoving.com). They offer terrible service. Initially responsive, their customer support disappears after you sign the bill of lading and pay. In March 2025, we contacted them for a move from Venice, FL, to West Virginia. They quoted us approximately $10,000, but additional charges emerged in the contract. We had to proceed with the scheduled pickup since our house had sold. What began as a $10,000 move turned into a $20,000 one. On delivery day, the driver could not access our apartment complex and needed to use a U-Haul to transfer our items. Since the U-Haul location was closed on Sunday, I paid $80 for the driver’s hotel and an additional $2,400 for the shuttle service, bringing our total to $23,000. On delivery day, the crew didn’t show, and the driver and I unloaded everything. I found that the number stickers on our items didn’t match the inventory list, making it impossible to verify if all our belongings were accounted for. Eventually, I learned some items had not fit on the truck and a second delivery was needed. During that delivery, a different driver accessed the complex without issues, and we still found missing items, despite checking thoroughly. I filed a claim for the missing items, but I continue to discover more items that are unaccounted for. Some boxes were not numbered, and I suspect that belongings are still in storage, including significant items like shelving and bedding. Initially, we were quoted $900 for storage, but my first bill came to $1,800. I called and was informed it would only be $1,200 since we used Safe Bound. This has been the worst moving experience I've ever had. After mentioning potential legal action, they responded once, but it has been over 45 days since I filed the claim for missing and damaged items, with no follow-up from them.

My experience matches many of the negative reviews I've come across online — overcharges, subcontracting without disclosure, poor communication, and no resolution after more than a month. I would not recommend this company at all. I was quoted $2,900 for an interstate two-bedroom move. Before pickup, I called to say I had removed a second bedroom, office, and kitchen contents. That information never reached the pickup team (a third-party carrier). Despite the reduced inventory, I was charged an extra $750 for “increased cubic feet” from added boxes — with no updated calculation or explanation. The problems didn’t stop there: Only 20 minutes’ notice before delivery instead of 24 hours My move was subcontracted twice without my knowledge Delivery crew failed to reassemble my bed frame No promised follow-up call after delivery Driver claimed he couldn’t call because his phone was broken I first contacted customer service on July 3 and followed up six more times. On July 11, their rep acknowledged mistakes and promised compensation, then went on leave without handing off my case. I’ve requested arbitration details (July 29, Aug 5, Aug 12) but Safebound has refused to provide them, even though they are required to. Based on my experience, I would avoid this company.
