So, I used this company ONLY because a good friend referred me. I needed to totally revise my resume because I have switched industries going form corporate america to education. My resume I currently have and did on my own looks very professional. I requested that they hone in on the keys things I've done in education and highlight the fact that I've been in school getting my bachelors degree. It took them 3 days to return a f-ing resume that looks like my youngest daughter did, NOT a professional resume that is career specific. It is basic basic archaic format with bullets. I immediately replied back and let them know that first, they didn't even select the template I chose, furthermore I'm not satisfied. I am on the phone now with my bank because they will be reversing this charge as fraud!

I was eager to get my resume updated and found these guys. Seemed promising and eager to work on my projects. $200 for resume, cover letter and LinkedIn. It seemed like I was constantly asking for an update. Heard it was a technical problem then they asked me to send my current resume, again. The work they did was decent however most items used was words from my prior one. Then I was promised I would see it the next day. I kept asking because why say you will provide something however have no intention of completion. Excuse after excuse. Resume previews came and it mentioned hotel industry work however clearly from my prior info aviation has been my path of career for 18 years. Still waiting on LinkedIn update however one recommend this group to anyone else as others used companies and got their info back fairly quickly, good quality work.

Seems this company did have some good reviews. I wonder what the professional level is of those who have given stellar reviews. Also seems that this company is falling in quality in the past couple of months. I was impressed initially with the chat which did not rush me on purchasing, They answered numerous questions and were quite patient. This is the reason they get one star. Then everything from the purchase goes downhill... Most of my issues are the same that I am seeing others having and their posts here are later than my original purchase date of Wednesday June 17, 2020. I filled out their questionnaire and provided a copy of my current resume. Issue #1. I was told I would get a consultation with a technical writer to gather info from me to put the resume together. ... never occurred. Issue #2. I was told I would receive a rough draft within 2 business days from the date of purchase. After asking Friday (6/19) We are still working on it you will receive shortly... Asked again on Monday 06/22... we are still working on it you will have it shortly. That is what you told me on Friday. It is in QA. Ask again on Tuesday (06/23). We are almost finished... I started pushing harder. Got lame excuses - because of COVID-19 it is taking us longer than our normal turnaround time. Excuse me COVID-19 has bee here 3+ months, we were well in to the throws of it before you quoted me a 2 business day turnaround. Issue #3. Finally late on Wednesday 06/24) I was delivered what they called a rough draft. So what they did in one whole week was never contact me for the consultation, took the 2 page resume I PROVIDED THEM and cut and pasted parts and pieces into what looked to be a MS Word template. Very cheesy and unprofessional looking... I might accept a resume like this from a 12-16 year old wanting to do babysitting or mow my yard..... Issue #4. I exclaimed immediately at the unprofessional "resume" delivered and said due to there inability to fulfill / deliver what they said in the purchase negotiation i wanted a refund. Now I am haggling with them each day since then about getting a refund and getting bizarre answers like it takes 7 to 10 business days to process a refund. It took them 7 to 10 seconds to charge my credit card. Today (6/29( I am told I will have a reference number by Thursday so I can track my refund request... Not I will have a refund.. .I can track my refund request... How many weeks or months later and how much more work does it require from me to get my refund. I told them refund by today (06/29/2020) or I file a BBB complaint and call the Credit card company to stop payment on the purchase. If these posts are editable by the submitter I will gladly update and report any additional interactions with this company - favorable or unfavorable. If they can not be edited by the submitter I will submit another review and use the same title. My advise is just like my title says... Not a company for a professional and not really sure if you are not a professional if the resume you get from them will get you past ATS, and if it does the looks of the resume is so appalling I am not sure you will get a 5 second glance before it is rejected. 07/02/2020 - Update. I looked at my credit card and I have been credited back my purchase. So I will boost them from 1 star to be 2 stars. BUT ... be careful choosing this company. Still seeing lots of reviews where they "parrot" your words in their template and do not deliver on the time they state.

Excellent service, fast and effective, patient and really professional, it took them two days to write a draft, and I am so pleased about the work they did and it is really great company, easy to reach out to them and communicate back and forth, such great work. Thank you so much. AmalBoyer.

These are scammers, they charged me $239 for resume and cover letter and gave me nothing but excuses. I have an ongoing fraud case going with them and they refused to return my money

So I am currently stranded in the USA, unable to return home. As a result, I am unable to work or to return, to earn any money. To this, I have been forced to explore the job market for the first time in more than 30 years. I have always been self-employed and very successful, internationally, in everything I do. In a desperate effort to ensure that I optimize my chances of employment, I explored Resume Profs as a professional Resume Writer. My resume certainly needs work, since it was designed for me, as an Expert Court Witness - not for a job application. I spoke them on the chat, at length, and explained my situation and my challenges. After making them understand my situation and how big a decision this is, for me, I agreed to pay the $350 for the offer made to me. That was on June 8, 2020. I immediately uploaded my current Resume and a profile photo. Hearing nothing back, I contacted them again on June 10, to find out if they required anything more from me. I received a draft and corrected all the errors and sent it back for review, on June 16th. To date, work has resumed, I have received regular updates and things are progressing to my satisfaction.

This company basically copies and pastes some jargon into your existing resume. There were blatant misrepresentations about the work I have done throughout, despite sending them detailed briefs on past projects. When I sent extensive notes on the draft I didn't hear back from them for about a month, in fact, the only time I did hear from them was when I reached out to get my refund.
